In RAB-12's operation, father and daughter were arrested with 3380 pieces of narcotic buprenorphine injection while carrying drugs inside vegetable sacks in a novel manner.
Under the guidance of Md. Maruf Hossain BPM, PPM, Captain RAB-12, Sirajganj and with the cooperation of RAB intelligence wing on last September 25, 2024 at 03.15 hours, RAB-12, Sadar Company, a smart raiding party "Dutch near Rahmatganj wooden bridge under Sadar Thana of Sirjaganj district. An anti-narcotics operation was conducted in front of Bangla Bank on the cobbled road, and a father and daughter were arrested for carrying drugs inside vegetable sacks along with 3380 pieces of narcotic buprenorphine injection. Also, 02 mobile phones used for buying and selling narcotics were seized from them.
Arrested accused 1. Mocha: Shamima Akhter (31), husband - Md. Samu Mia, Sang-Khamar Taherpur, 2. Md. Akbar Ali (63), father-deceased Mobar Khan, Sang-Rasulpur, both thana-Pirganj, district-Rangpur.
In the initial investigation, it was revealed that the accused had been buying and selling narcotic buprenorphine injections in different districts of the country including Sirajganj district for a long time through communication on their mobile phones.
A case under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018 has been filed against the two arrested accused at the Sadar Police Station of Sirajganj district.
