Happy 4th of July! 360 panorama of Ala Moana Beach Park, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Call us biased, but we think we have the best public park in the world. Ala Moana Beach Park is our version of Central Park, and not too shabby for reclaimed marshland that was once used as a dump!

NOTE: Alas, no 4th of July fireworks from here tonight. People camped out all day long here in days past for Independence Day fireworks.

Ala Moana Beach Park has a half-mile stretch of white sand beach, acres of shady trees, picnic tables, and a wide expanse of grass. It is much loved and the most popular family park on Oahu.

This glorious panorama shows Honolulu, Waikiki, Diamond Head, and Aina Moana.

We are certainly glad for this public space and happy it did not end up as a resort as planned originally.
