**NB.1.8.1 ("Nimbus")**

এটা Omicron‑উৎসের একটি উপ‑লাইনেজ, WHO “variant under monitoring” হিসেবে মনোনীত করেছে ।
বিশ্বব্যাপী 10‑11% COVID সিকোয়েন্স NB.1.8.1 দখল করেছে (মে ২০২৫) ।
আরও ব্যাপকভাবে ছড়িয়ে পড়ছে ইউরোপ, আমেরিকা ও পশ্চিম প্রশান্ত মহাসাগরীয় অঞ্চলে ।

গবেষণা ও বৈশিষ্ট্য

এই ভ্যারিয়েন্টে কিছু স্পাইক প্রোটিনে মিউটেশন দেখা গেছে যা এন্টিবডি প্রতিরোধে কিছুটা সক্ষম হতে পারে, এভাবে সংক্রমণ আরও বাড়তে পারে ।

তবে এখনো কোন প্রমাণ নেই যে এটি গুরুতর রোগ সৃষ্টি করে বা হাসপাতালে ভর্তি বেশি করে ।

**বড় ঝুঁকি আছে কি না?**

WHO মানছে এটির ক্ষতিকর পর্যায় কম; বড় অসুস্থতা বা মৃত্যুর ঝুঁকি বাড়ছে না ।
তবু সতর্ক থাকার প্রয়োজন আছে, বিশেষ করে যাদের বয়স বেশি বা রোগ প্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতা কম ।

📈 আর কি আর্টিকেল ও অবস্থা রয়েছে?

সংক্রমণ বেড়েছে

কিছু দেশে, যেমন কেরলায়, প্রবীণ ও প্রি‑এক্সিস্টিং রোগীরা আক্রান্ত হচ্ছে; সেখানেও JN.1‑ডেরাইভেটিভ ভ্যারিয়েন্ট LF7 ও XFG শনাক্ত হয়েছে ।
ভারতেও XFG উপ‑লাইনেজ ছড়িয়ে পড়ছে, সংক্রমণ বাড়লেও মৃদু লক্ষণ দেখা যাচ্ছে ।

গ্রীষ্মে ঝুঁকি বাড়তে পারে

Discovermagazine আরও জানায়, NB.1.8.1‑এর দ্রুত ছড়িয়ে পড়ার কারণে গ্রীষ্মেও COVID‑এর পরবর্তী স্রোত দেখা যেতে পারে ।

💉 ভ্যাক্সিন ও সতর্কতা

আপডেটেড ২০২৪–২৫ COVID ভ্যাক্সিন

CDC অনুসারে, বর্তমান ভ্যাক্সিনগুলো এখনো গুরতর অসুস্থতা থেকে সুরক্ষা দেয় ।
বিশেষ করে বয়স ≥ ৬৫, প্রেগন্যান্ট বা রোগপ্রতিরোধ ক্ষমতা দুর্বল ব্যক্তিদের জন্য আপডেট ও বুস্টার প্রয়োজন ।

ভ্যাক্সিন আপডেট নির্দেশিকা

WHO‑এর ট্যাগ‑চল‑ভ্যাক (TAG‑CO‑VAC) গ্রুপ JN.1‑লাইনেজের উপরে ফোকাস করে নতুন ভ্যাক্সিন তৈরি সুপারিশ করেছে ।

✅ পরামর্শ ও সতর্কতা

1. আপডেটেড ভ্যাক্সিন নিন – বিশেষ করে ভ্যাকসিন নেয়া না থাকলে বা ≥ ৬৫ বছর বয়সী হলে।
2. জনসমাগম এড়িয়ে চলুন – মানুষের ভিড়ে মাস্ক পরা ও হ্যান্ড হাইজিন বজায় রাখুন।
3. সতর্ক থাকুন – গা ব্যথা, কাশি, জ্বর হলে দেন, ঘরে কোয়ারেন্টিন করুন।
4. বিশেষ নজর দিন – প্রবীণ, কম ইমিউন সিস্টেম অথবা কো‑মরবিড থাকার ক্ষেত্রে আরও সতর্ক হতে হবে।

চট্টগ্রামে দেশের প্রথম মনোরেল নির্মাণের উদ্যোগ নেওয়া হয়েছে, যা নগরীর যানজট নিরসন ও আধুনিক গণপরিবহন ব্যবস্থার উন্নয়নে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা রাখবে।

📌 প্রকল্পের মূল তথ্য:

সমঝোতা স্মারক (MoU) স্বাক্ষর: ২০২৫ সালের ১ জুন চট্টগ্রাম সিটি করপোরেশন (CCC) এবং জার্মান-মিশরীয় যৌথ উদ্যোগে পরিচালিত ওরাসকম গ্রুপ ও আরব কন্ট্রাক্টরস গ্রুপের মধ্যে এই চুক্তি স্বাক্ষরিত হয়।

প্রকল্পের ব্যয়: প্রায় ২৫,০০০ কোটি টাকা, যা সম্পূর্ণভাবে বাস্তবায়নকারী প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোর দ্বারা অর্থায়ন করা হবে।

সম্ভাব্যতা সমীক্ষা: চুক্তি অনুযায়ী, প্রতিষ্ঠান দুটি চট্টগ্রাম নগরীতে সম্ভাব্যতা সমীক্ষা পরিচালনা করবে।

নির্মাণকাল: মনোরেল প্রকল্পটি ২ থেকে ২.৫ বছরের মধ্যে সম্পন্ন করা যেতে পারে।

🚝 মনোরেলের সুবিধাসমূহ:

কম খরচ: মনোরেল নির্মাণ মেট্রোরেলের তুলনায় প্রায় ৪০% কম ব্যয়বহুল।
কম জমি প্রয়োজন: এটি বিদ্যমান অবকাঠামোর মাধ্যমে সহজে নির্মাণযোগ্য।
দ্রুত বাস্তবায়ন: মনোরেল দ্রুত নির্মাণ ও চালু করা সম্ভব।

The ICC has confirmed that the Indian government has approved visas for the Pakistan squad travelling to the World Cup, less than 48 hours before the team is due to fly out to Hyderabad via Dubai. The approval came on Monday, hours after the PCB had written to the ICC expressing its displeasure at the delay in the issuance of the visas. At the time they had sent the email, approval for the visas had not been given.

But the delay had already caused the Pakistan team to cancel plans for a pre-World Cup team bonding trip to the UAE.

"Ministry of Home Affairs gives security clearance for issue of visas," an Indian government spokesperson told ESPNcricinfo. "The process is underway." The PCB is expected to receive the passports with visas for its squad on Monday evening.
