Today, UAP Film Club, DSW hosted the screening of the documentary “Idrish”.
After the screening, we had an engaging Q&A session, where students asked thoughtful questions about Mr. Muhammad Idrish’s journey and experiences, and he generously shared his insights.

In the closing segment, our respected Treasurer Prof. Dr. Sheikh Anwar Hossain Sir and Advisor Baivab Das Sir honored our distinguished guest with a traditional Uttariya and presented him a Token of Appreciation.

A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Muhammad Idrish for joining us and inspiring everyone with his remarkable story. 🎬

UAP Film Club, DSW Presents — The Screening of “Idrish” 🎬

Idrish (2021), directed by British filmmaker Adam Lewis Jacob, tells the story of a Bangladeshi migrant in 1980s Britain. It’s a powerful journey of struggle, resilience, and solidarity — weaving together archival footage, campaign materials, and experimental techniques to portray not only Idrish’s fight but also the collective support of trade union movements.

Special Guest: Muhammad Idrish

After the screening, there will be an exclusive Q&A session with him — a rare opportunity to engage in conversation and reflections on the story behind the film.
