đŽ Diogo Jotaâs love for gaming ran deep. He wasnât just a casual gamer.
During the COVID-19 lockdown, he rose to world No. 1 on FIFA 21âs Ultimate Team leaderboard, posting a flawless 30-0 record. A year earlier, he had won the ePremier League Invitational, defeating his future teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold in the final.
He once cut short a FIFA 22 qualifier to play a real game of football.
Jota spoke openly about how gaming helped him switch off from football and stay mentally sharp.
He even launched his own esports organisation in 2020 â Diogo Jota eSports, now known as Luna Galaxy â which has competed across FIFA, Dota 2, and Rocket League.
