Kazi Shahadat Hossain was one of the pioneers of professional boxing in Bangladesh, competing professionally in Japan in 1989 — more than a decade before BoxRec was established.
Decades later, Sura Krishna Chakma emerged as a new-generation professional boxer and became the first Bangladeshi pro boxer documented by BoxRec after beginning his professional journey in 2018.
Two different eras, two important chapters in the history of Bangladesh professional boxing.
