Actors Equity, the professional organization of the onscreen actors in Bangladesh. It is a completely apolitical organization. All the ancillary processes of the performers still expect-professionalism to be appropriate, fair and systematic. The interests, rights and dignity of the actors will be preserved. That is why it is necessary for all concerned to unite. As everyone knows, there is no substitute for a concerted effort to protect one's interests, to ensure fair rights and dignified status. It is with this grandeur of effective ideas that the Actors' Association formally made its debut at a general meeting held at the Liberation War Museum in Segun Bagicha on 22nd December, 1998 and a constitution was formulated by its 2001-2003 executive council, which was subsequently published with the approval of the General Assembly. Goals, Ideals and Objectives:
1 Bringing together all the professional actors participating in the various TV channels, YouTube, web storytelling, and film under the ideological banner through an organization.
2 Preservation of professional interests and dignity of performers as a whole.
3 Ensuring the maintenance of professional discipline among the performers.
4 Awareness about the rights, position and responsibilities and duties of the performers, connected through television and web stories and films.
5 To provide organizational support to the artists for their due respect and honor.
6 To take initiative to build its own space for the purpose of regular exchange of traditional communication and leisure among all the performers of the association.
7 To create an effective representative logical position of the actors towards other professional organizations and institutions involved in drama through television and web storytelling and film.
8 To create sincerity and professionalism among the individuals and organizations involved in the production and distribution of television, web storytelling and film dramas.
9 Preparation and preservation of a complete list of all actors in television, web storytelling and film, and subsequent publication in one or more volumes containing the names of their notable works. In addition, if possible, in the near future, the work-related acquaintances of the late actors whose relentless work, dedication, talent and contribution to the professional position of this art medium has been enhanced to this day will also be included in this scheme.
10 Provision of quality health care, prevention of cancer and AIDS through appropriate authorities with the approval of the concerned authorities. Provide assistance, provide humanitarian assistance to victims of natural and man-made disasters, and provide food or financial assistance.
11 Conduct joint activities with other organizations for the convenience of activities. Establish relations with all governmental and non-governmental organizations for developmental activities.
