২৮-২৯ ডিসেম্বর ঢাকায় বসবে এনআরবি ওয়ার্ল্ড সামিট

আগামী ২৮-২৯ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৬ ঢাকায় অনুষ্ঠিত হতে যাচ্ছে প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের নিয়ে এ যাবৎকালের সবচেয়ে বড় আয়োজন ‘এনআরবি ওয়ার্ল্ড সামিট’। প্রায় এক হাজার প্রবাসী এতে অংশ নিচ্ছেন বলে জানা গেছে। এই সামিটে বিশ্বের প্রায় ২৫টি দেশ থেকে প্রবাসী উদ্যোক্তা, ব্যবসায়ী, ডাক্তার, ইঞ্জিনিয়ার, সায়েনটিস্ট, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক, আইটি প্রফেশনালসহ নানা শ্রেণি-পেশার মানুষ অংশগ্রহণ করবেন।
পাশাপাশি আমেরিকা-বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার, কানাডা-বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার, ব্রিটিশ-বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার, ইউকে-বিসিসিআই, বাংলাদেশ বিজনেস কাউন্সিল, দুবাই; সিঙ্গাপুর-বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার, জাপান বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার, কোরিয়া-বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার এবং অস্ট্রেলিয়া-বাংলাদেশ চেম্বার থেকে বড় ডেলিগেশন যোগ দেবেন।
এছাড়া বাংলাদেশের ব্যবসায়ী গ্রুপ ও চেম্বার থেকেও ডেলিগেশন যোগ দেবেন। যাতে করে দেশীয় ব্যবসায়ী ও প্রফেশনালরা এনআরবি ব্যবসায়ী প্রফেশনালদের মধ্যে নেটওয়ার্কিং হয়। পাশাপাশি বাংলাদেশ সরকারের উচ্চ পর্যায়ের নীতি-নির্ধারকরা এই কনভেনশনে অংশ নেবেন। এনআরবি ওয়ার্ল্ড সামিট-এর আয়োজক প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের সবচেয়ে বড় প্ল্যাটফর্ম ‘গ্লোবাল এনআরবি ওয়ার্ল্ড’। সহ-আয়োজক হিসেবে আছে এনআরবি ফ্যামিলি সাপোর্ট ও বিজনেস আমেরিকা ম্যাগাজিন।
দুইদিনব্যাপী এই কনভেনশনে নানা আয়োজনের পাশাপাশি থাকবে স্বাস্থ্য, শিক্ষা, উন্নয়ন, অর্থনীতি, আইটিসহ বেশ কিছু বিষয়ভিত্তিক সেমিনার। সেসব সেমিনারে কি-নোট স্পিকার এবং আলোচক হিসেবে অংশ নেবেন সংশ্লিষ্ট সেক্টরের দেশ ও প্রবাসের বরেণ্য সব ব্যক্তিত্ব। পাশাপাশি এই আয়োজন থেকে প্রদান করা হবে ‘গ্লোবাল এনআরবি অ্যাওয়ার্ড। বিভিন্ন সেক্টরের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অবদান রাখা প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের অ্যাওয়ার্ড প্রদান করা হবে। গ্লোবাল এনআরবি ওয়ার্ল্ড-এর প্রতিষ্ঠাতা এনামুল হক এনাম জানিয়েছেন, এবারের গ্লোবাল এনআরবি সামিটের প্রধান লক্ষ্য হচ্ছে দেশ ও প্রবাসের মধ্যে একটি কার্যকর সেতুবন্ধ তৈরি করা। আর বিষয়টি আমরা দ্বিমুখী সম্পর্কের ভিত্তিতে প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে চাই। প্রবাসে যারা বড় ব্যবসায়ী এবং উদ্যোক্তা আছেন আমরা যেমন তাদের দেশে বিনিয়োগ করার বিষয়ে উৎসাহিত করার প্রয়াস চালাব, পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন সেক্টরের দক্ষ প্রবাসী পেশাজীবীরা যাতে দেশীয় উদ্যোক্তাদের কাজে লাগাতে পারেন সেই চেষ্টাও অব্যাহত থাকবে।

NRB World Summit to Be Held in Dhaka on December 28–29

The NRB World Summit, described as one of the largest-ever gatherings of Non-Resident Bangladeshis (NRBs), is scheduled to take place in Dhaka on December 28–29, 2026. Nearly 1,000 NRBs are expected to participate in the two-day summit.

NRB entrepreneurs, business leaders, doctors, engineers, scientists, university professors, IT professionals and representatives from various other professions from around 25 countries are expected to attend the summit.

Large delegations are also expected from several international business chambers and organizations, including the America-Bangladesh Chamber, Canada-Bangladesh Chamber, British-Bangladesh Chamber, UK-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UKBCCI), Bangladesh Business Council in Dubai, Singapore-Bangladesh Chamber, Japan-Bangladesh Chamber, Korea-Bangladesh Chamber and Australia-Bangladesh Chamber.

Delegations from major Bangladeshi business groups and chambers will also participate. The initiative aims to create opportunities for networking and collaboration between Bangladeshi businesses and professionals and their NRB counterparts. Senior policymakers and high-level representatives of the Government of Bangladesh are also expected to attend the convention.

The NRB World Summit is being organized by Global NRB World, one of the largest platforms representing Non-Resident Bangladeshis. NRB Family Support and Business America Magazine are joining as co-organizers.

The two-day convention will feature a range of activities, including thematic seminars on health, education, development, economics, ICT and other important sectors. Distinguished professionals and experts from Bangladesh and abroad will participate as keynote speakers and panelists in these sessions.

The summit will also host the Global NRB Awards, recognizing Non-Resident Bangladeshis who have made significant contributions across various sectors.

According to Enamul Haque Enam, Founder of Global NRB World, the primary objective of this year’s Global NRB Summit is to establish an effective bridge between Bangladesh and its diaspora.

“We want to build this relationship on a two-way basis,” he said. The initiative will encourage successful NRB entrepreneurs and business leaders to explore investment opportunities in Bangladesh while also creating avenues for skilled NRB professionals from different sectors to contribute their expertise to Bangladeshi businesses and entrepreneurs.

The summit is expected to provide a major platform for strengthening investment, knowledge exchange, professional networking and business collaboration between Bangladesh and its global diaspora.

সিঙ্গাপুরে আজ ‘বাংলাদেশ রেমিট্যান্স সম্মাননা ২০২৬’

অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। দৈনিক বণিক বার্তা ও সিঙ্গাপুরের Thakral Group এর যৌথ উদ্যোগে সিঙ্গাপুরে কর্মরত, অর্থনীতিতে বিশেষ অবদান রাখা প্রবাসী রেমিট্যান্স যোদ্ধাদের সম্মাননা প্রদান উপলক্ষ্যে আয়োজিত এ অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন মাননীয় পররাষ্ট্র প্রতিমন্ত্রী শামা ওবায়েদ ইসলাম, এমপি। অনুষ্ঠানে বাংলাদেশ ও সিঙ্গাপুরের সরকারি ও আর্থিক প্রতিষ্ঠানের প্রতিনিধিবৃন্দ, বাংলাদেশ হাইকমিশনের কর্মকর্তাবৃন্দ এবং প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিরা অংশগ্রহণ করেন।

প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে পররাষ্ট্র প্রতিমন্ত্রী প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিদের দেশের অর্থনীতি ও উন্নয়নে অসামান্য অবদানের জন্য গভীর কৃতজ্ঞতা ও শ্রদ্ধা জানান। বাংলাদেশ থেকে বিদেশ গমনে অভিবাসন ব্যয় উল্লেখযোগ্য হারে কমিয়ে আনতে সরকার কাজ করছে উল্লেখ করে তিনি বলেন, অসাধু ব্যবসায়ী ও সিন্ডিকেটের কারণে জমিজমা বিক্রি করে প্রবাসীদের ১০ থেকে ১৪ লাখ টাকা খরচ করে বিদেশে আসতে হয়। বর্তমান সরকার দায়িত্ব গ্রহণের পর এই খরচ কমিয়ে সর্বোচ্চ তিন লাখ টাকার মধ্যে নামিয়ে আনার লক্ষ্য নিয়ে কাজ শুরু করেছে।

তিনি বলেন, প্রবাসী বাংলাদেশিরা দেশের গর্ব ও শক্তি এবং তাঁদের কঠোর পরিশ্রম একদিকে যেমন তাঁদের পরিবারের জীবনমান উন্নয়নে ভূমিকা রাখছে, অন্যদিকে বাংলাদেশের অর্থনীতির ভিতকে আরও শক্তিশালী করছে। বর্তমানে প্রায় ১ লক্ষ ৫০ হাজার বাংলাদেশি সিঙ্গাপুরের বিভিন্ন গুরুত্বপূর্ণ খাতে কর্মরত রয়েছেন। তিনি উল্লেখ করেন, ২০২৫-'২৬ অর্থবছরে বাংলাদেশে প্রায় ৩৫ বিলিয়ন মার্কিন ডলার রেমিট্যান্স এসেছে, যার মধ্যে সিঙ্গাপুর থেকে প্রায় দেড় বিলিয়ন মার্কিন ডলার এসেছে। ‘সবার আগে বাংলাদেশ’ নীতি অবলম্বন করে প্রধানমন্ত্রী তারেক রহমান এর নেতৃত্বে বর্তমান সরকার নতুন বিনিয়োগ ও কর্মসংস্থান সৃষ্টির কাজ করছে বলে তিনি উল্লেখ করেন।

অভিবাসীদের সার্বিক সেবা ও সমস্যা দ্রুত সমাধানের লক্ষ্যে ইতিহাসে প্রথমবারের মতো পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ে একটি ডেডিকেটেড ‘মাইগ্রেশন উইং’ খোলা হয়েছে যেটি প্রবাসী কল্যাণ ও বৈদেশিক কর্মসংস্থান মন্ত্রণালয়ের সঙ্গে যৌথ ওয়ার্কিং গ্রুপ হিসেবে কাজ করছে বলে তিনি জানান। বাংলাদেশ ও সিঙ্গাপুরের মধ্যে জনশক্তি ও কর্মসংস্থান সহযোগিতা আরও সম্প্রসারিত হচ্ছে এবং দক্ষতা উন্নয়ন, পুনঃকর্মসংস্থান, আন্তঃপ্রতিষ্ঠান স্থানান্তর ও ন্যায্য কর্মপরিবেশ নিশ্চিতকরণে দুই দেশের মধ্যে আলোচনা অব্যাহত রয়েছে বলেও তিনি উল্লেখ করেন।

অনুষ্ঠানে সিঙ্গাপুরে কর্মরত বাংলাদেশি প্রবাসীদের উদ্দেশ্যে তিনি পাঁচটি বিশেষ অনুরোধ জানান— ১. হুন্ডি পরিহার করে সর্বদা বৈধ ব্যাংকিং চ্যানেলে রেমিট্যান্স পাঠানো। ২. সিঙ্গাপুরের আইন, বিধি-বিধান ও কর্মসংস্কৃতির প্রতি সর্বোচ্চ সম্মান প্রদর্শন করা। ৩. সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যম ব্যবহারে দায়িত্বশীল হওয়া এবং যেকোনো উগ্রবাদ বা বিদ্বেষমূলক প্রচারণা থেকে বিরত থাকা। ৪. ভিন্ন ভাষা ও ধর্মের মানুষের প্রতি সম্মান প্রদর্শন করে পারস্পরিক সম্প্রীতি বজায় রাখা। ৫. নতুন প্রযুক্তি, কারিগরি বিদ্যা ও ভাষার দক্ষতা অর্জনের মাধ্যমে নিজেদের প্রতিনিয়ত দক্ষ করে তোলা।

তিনি সম্প্রতি সিঙ্গাপুরে বেতন-বকেয়া ও কর্মসংস্থান হারানো বাংলাদেশি কর্মীদের সহায়তায় সিঙ্গাপুরের সংশ্লিষ্ট কূটনীতিক, পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয় ও Ministry of Manpower-এর সহযোগিতার জন্য ধন্যবাদ জানান।

বর্তমান সরকার দেশে একটি স্বচ্ছ, দুর্নীতিমুক্ত এবং 'ওয়ান স্টপ সার্ভিস' যুক্ত বিনিয়োগবান্ধব পরিবেশ তৈরি করছে উল্লেখ করে প্রবাসীদের উদ্দেশ্যে তিনি বলেন, আপনারা যারা বিদেশে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়েছেন, আপনারা কেবল রেমিট্যান্স প্রেরক না হয়ে বাংলাদেশে বিনিয়োগকারী ও উদ্যোক্তা হিসেবে ভূমিকা রাখুন। প্রবাসীদের বিনিয়োগ দেশের বিপুল তরুণ জনগোষ্ঠীর কর্মসংস্থান তৈরিতে বড় ভূমিকা রাখবে।

ঊক্ত অনুষ্ঠানে সিঙ্গাপুরে কর্মরত ১৫ জন অসাধারণ প্রবাসী রেমিট্যান্স যোদ্ধাকে সম্মাননা প্রদান করা হয়। এছাড়া চারটি প্রতিষ্ঠান, দুইজন সিআইপি এবং সিঙ্গাপুরস্থ বাংলাদেশভিত্তিক ব্যাংকগুলোর আওতাধীন শীর্ষস্থানীয় তিনটি এক্সচেঞ্জ হাউজকে বিশেষ সম্মাননা প্রদান করা হয়। পররাষ্ট্র প্রতিমন্ত্রী তাদের হাতে সম্মাননা স্মারক তুলে দেন।

H.E. Shama Obaed Islam, MP, Accepts Invitation as Chief Guest at 5th Global Business Summit in New York

Business America Magazine had a productive and engaging meeting with H.E. Shama Obaed Islam, MP, to discuss Bangladesh’s international engagement, economic opportunities and our upcoming initiatives.
