Diary (2022) is like if Ratsasan took a haunted bus ride through Thegidi's storyline while listening to Pizza's background score on loop. Arulnithi once again plays “that intense cop guy” who stares at files, sees ghosts, and solves a 16-year-old murder while riding the most cursed bus since Tamil cinema discovered horror. It tries to be clever, spooky, and twisty—but ends up mostly confused about which movie it’s trying to be. Great visuals, loud BGM, and a plot that keeps throwing twists like freebies at a mall activation. Could’ve been tighter, smarter, and more gripping—but hey, it’s still a decent ride if you like your thrillers with a side of supernatural GPS errors.

While Fury Road was undeniably a cinematic triumph, this installment feels lackluster by comparison. Despite some visually impressive moments, the overall film comes off as dull and uninspired. Chris Hemsworth's performance fits right in with the film’s mediocrity, blending into the forgettable experience.

The Amazon Prime documentary "Angry Young Man" is an essential piece of work for the Indian cinema industry, especially considering the legendary status of Salim-Javed. If this documentary hadn't been made while both legends were still alive, it would have left a significant void in the history of Indian cinema. Salim-Javed played a pivotal role in shaping mainstream Hindi cinema as we know it today. During Amitabh Bachchan's peak, these two screenwriters commanded higher fees than even the superstar himself—a scenario unimaginable today, where no writer could demand more than someone like Salman Khan without being dismissed as insane.

However, for those familiar with Salman Khan or the Farhan Akhtar family, the documentary may not offer much new information. At times, I felt that if I were directing it, I could have introduced more fresh content, particularly regarding the phase following Salim-Javed's split. This part of their story warranted a separate episode. Javed Akhtar's podcast with Arbaaz Khan, for instance, contains more insightful details that the documentary could have included. Disappointingly, there was no discussion about their last and significant film, "Mr. India."

Despite these gaps, this documentary is a must-watch for cinema lovers and writers alike. As time has passed, Salim-Javed's work has only grown more philosophical and profound. I would also recommend checking out their interviews on YouTube to get a fuller picture of their contributions and thoughts.

Just watched *Maidaan (2024)* and I'm giving it ⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5. Ajay Devgn delivers a powerful performance as Syed Abdul Rahim, capturing the spirit of India's golden era in football. The film's period detailing and football sequences are impressive, making it a treat for history buffs and sports enthusiasts alike. However, it does fall into some typical sports biopic clichés and could have used a tighter narrative.

Overall, *Maidaan* is an inspiring tribute to an unsung hero of Indian sports. Definitely worth a watch for its heartfelt portrayal of determination and teamwork. ⚽️🇮🇳
