The Coffin in the Seminar Room
Once, a very large and successful company suddenly started facing major losses. One afternoon, as the employees returned from lunch at a nearby canteen, they noticed a peculiar notice posted at the office entrance.
It read:
“Due to recent financial losses, the person responsible has passed away. Their body is currently placed in a coffin inside the seminar room. Anyone who wishes to pay their respects is welcome.”
The employees were taken aback by the sudden announcement. At first, they felt sadness, assuming a colleague had died. But soon, curiosity took over—who could this person be? Who was responsible for the downfall of such a successful company?
One by one, the employees gathered in the seminar room, whispering and wondering: “Who could it be? Who stood in the way of our success?”
Whatever the answer, one thing was certain: that person was now gone.
They slowly approached the coffin, some solemn, others curious. But when each person peered inside, they froze in shock. Silence filled the room. It was as if they had seen someone deeply familiar—someone they knew intimately.
Inside the coffin, there was no body. Instead, there was a mirror.
And beside the mirror was a note:
“There is only one person in the entire world who can stand in the way of your success—and that person is you.”
The message continued:
“You are the only one who can truly change your life. You are the only one who can make yourself happy, help yourself grow, or block your own progress. Your life doesn’t change when your boss changes, or when your parents or friends change. Your life changes only when you change. When you step beyond the limits of your own beliefs—when you finally believe in your potential—only then will your life transform. Only then will you reach your goals.
Shine your light, and light up the world around you.”
