Somewhere between this beauty box and the studio behind it, I became me. 🤍
This is my mother’s wedding beauty box.
I found it today, after all these years, and suddenly I was taken back to a much younger version of myself.
The funny thing is… the makeup products sitting inside this box were some of the very first makeup products I ever had in my life. I was still in school. I didn’t know what I was doing. I just knew that I loved makeup. I loved looking at the colours, trying things, experimenting, and slowly discovering this little world of beauty.
I never imagined that one day, that little curiosity would become a career.
That the girl playing with makeup from her mother’s old beauty box would someday have a beauty studio of her.
There were years of uncertainty, mistakes, financial struggles, heartbreaks, failures, starting over, and moments when I genuinely questioned whether I could keep going.
But somehow, through all of it, I kept coming back to this.
Makeup.
Creativity.
Beauty.
Creating something with my own hands.
And today, looking at this box sitting in front of the studio I built with my own blood, sweat, tears, and countless little sacrifices… I feel incredibly grateful.
Not because I have everything figured out.
But because I can finally look back and say—
I’ve come a long way.
From my mother’s wedding beauty box,
to the first makeup products I called mine,
to building Glitter Sparkles By Mim…
Maybe this was always a part of my story. ✨
And to the little girl who once opened this box with so much curiosity—
I hope you know how proud I am of you. 🤍
