ঢাকা শহরে রেস্টুরেন্ট ক্যাফে অথবা সিনেমা দেখা ছাড়া আউটডোর একটিভিটি খুবই কম। টাকা খরচ না করে শান্তিতে বসে একটু আড্ডা দেয়ার মতো ২-১ টা জায়গা মাথায় আসে না। ব্যপার টা আসলেই ভাবার বিষয়।

I’ve invested in a lot of hobbies and skills over the years.

One of them was learning how to make videos, which eventually turned into a career I absolutely love.

But at 27, I realised something important was being left behind. My health.

Around this time last year, I hit a real low.
I was gaining weight fast and it started to worry me.

That photo on the left? I was at my heaviest. 112kg.

Not being able to do certain activities because I was overweight made me feel so bad. At one point, I stopped showing up because of how under confident it made me.

I knew I had to do something.

So I started going to the gym.

No big plan. Just showed up.

Then:

• It became a habit
• Then part of my lifestyle
• I started eating better
• Got a trainer to keep me on track
• Started tracking calories & weighing food
• And most importantly, started enjoying the process

Since November 2024, I’ve been working out 5 days a week.

And as of today, I’ve lost 16kg. Currently at 96kg.

Still a long way to go, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come.

If you’re on your own journey, just know that starting small is more than enough.

Keep going 💪🏽
