Ban on African National Congress lifted
On this day in 1990, South African President F.W. de Klerk lifted the 30-year ban on the African National Congress, resulting in the release from prison of Nelson Mandela and marking the beginning of the end of apartheid.

ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের এফএইচ হলে চোর সন্দেহে একজন গণপিটুনিতে নিহত। তার সারা শরীরে প্রচন্ড আঘাতের চিহ্ন ছিল।

ঢাকা মেডিকেল পুলিশ বলছে, 'শিক্ষার্থীরা' রাত বারোটার একটু পরে এই লোককে হাসপাতালে নিয়ে আসে। এরপর হাসাপাতাল মৃত ঘোষনা করলে সেই 'শিক্ষার্থীদের' আর পাওয়া যায়নি।
