Our take on the three cars:-
1. Honda Civic: is the drivers car with the best handling, braking more than enough power for a daily driven car and balanced between practicality and driving pleasure.
2. Mazda Axela: a very well rounded car, the interior, features, aesthetic styling will appeal to any buyer. The power does not compare with the Civic as the Axela is not turbocharged but in any other aspect it performs as good as the Civic.
3. Toyota Premio: The Premio is your potential high mileage hero. It will serve you reliably for 100,000 miles (not kilometers) if you take care of the basics which again are very affordable. Ofcouse it does have some recent features but nothing too exciting. But it's value proposition gives the others a run for the money.

Both the MX-5 Miata and GT 86 are front engine, rear wheel drive cars. Both cars have a perfect balance of power and handling from the factory. While the GT86 makes more power and is easier to tune with huge gain potential, the MX5 is an absolute show stopper being a nimble little convertable.
