Why I keep saying no to online gambling promos (50+ times now).
Over the last 3–4 year's I’ve turned down more than 50 requests to promote online gambling.

I get why it’s tempting—there’s money in it. But here’s why I still say no, and why these offers keep popping up:

💼 𝗝𝗼𝗯𝘀 & 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀: Unemployment is high, and a lot of it comes down to skills and mindset. Many grads aim only for “white-collar” roles and skip hands-on or vocational skills. Yet blue-collar trades often pay well—I pay my plumber a solid amount for a 15-minute fix I can’t do, and my mid-career electrician already owns a flat. But many of the graduates are refusing to stoop down to that level.

🧋Y𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲: Influencers sell quick wins. I’m seeing teens trade study time for late-night TikTok and betting apps—often without parents noticing.
Working class. It can start with “harmless” games like LudoStar at tea stalls, then slide into staking a day’s wage on online betting and cashing out via nearby MFS agents.

👨‍👩‍👧 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀: Even comfortable households get pulled in. A homemaker I know put about $5,000 into a “paid reviews” scheme in a month, hoping for a little extra for travel or the kids’ schooling. She could absorb it; many can’t.

Across groups, limited financial/digital literacy, pressure to keep up with flashy lifestyles, and family/religious guidance taking a back seat make people easy targets. Enforcement is behind—one officer even told me, “I got trapped too.”

⚠️ 𝙏𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙖 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙚𝙩 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙨: people with jobs but no savings, losing a month’s income in minutes. When hope in honest work fades, risky choices follow—and that affects all of us.

What helps: practical skill-building, real financial/digital literacy, building moral values, and smarter enforcement. I’ll keep saying no.

That's my POV. What’s your take on this? 👇

i.e, For international viewers, Online Gambling is not legal in our region. The writings are aligned with the context of Bangladesh.

I admit that I have been saving a LOT of prompt examples for the last few months from countless creators, experts, or just from the feeds.

And, it's sometimes overwhelming, especially if you do not know how to do prompt engineering effectively or you can't write "concept to context" very well.

So, I'm sharing a 3-Step quick guide to a great prompt, recommended by 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗔𝗜 itself to make it simple for you.

1. State the 𝙏𝙖𝙨𝙠 ↙️
Be explicit about what you want done.
Example: “Summarize last quarter’s sales results and propose marketing strategies for next quarter.”

2. Add 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙭𝙩 ↙️
Share any background, data, or docs to use.
Example: “Use the Q2 sales report.”

3. Specify the 𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙥𝙪𝙩 ↙️
4. Tell me the format, tone, and audience.
Example: “Write it as a formal executive summary.”

Prompt example for a 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗳: (Follow 1-2-3 = Task, Context, Output):

𝘋𝘳𝘢𝘧𝘵 𝘢 𝘵𝘸𝘰-𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘱𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘶𝘱𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘩 (𝟭) 𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘩 𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘧. (𝟮) 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘣𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦, 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. (𝟯)

See, not overwhelming, eh? Try this out. Want to make it more effective? Check the comment for additional tips.

One hobby I never outgrew is Gaming. 🎮

Even in my mid-30s, the thrill of gaming continues to be a constant in my life. As a '90s kid with limited access to devices, I always picked whatever I could game on. That passion reignited over a decade ago with the PS4, and more recently with my new PC build featuring the 9070XT. 🕹️

What started as a personal love evolved into a professional journey. For the past 8 years, I’ve led marketing initiatives for two major global gaming brands in the local market (still proudly working with one of them). My deep interest in storytelling, devices, forums, and gaming culture made it a natural fit.

Although I usually work behind the scenes, I genuinely enjoy meeting today’s gamers and always try to attend the community meetups we organize. These moments, exchanging stories, perspectives, and nostalgia are truly special.

While I’m not a big fan of mobile gaming or online tournaments when I play, I’m all in when it comes to strategy games and rich storytelling experiences. Some day, I’ll share some of the campaigns I’ve conceptualized and run for the brands I’ve had the privilege to represent.

📸 Here’s a photo from a meetup from last year with some of the new generation gamers — always inspiring.

💧 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗜
Every time you use an AI like ChatGPT, it’s not just computing power at work — it’s water, too.

🔹 Generating a 100-word email = ~500ml of water.
🔹 10–50 prompts = ~2 liters (½ gallon).
🔹 Training GPT-3 = 5.4M liters of water.
🔹 GPT-4 likely consumed even more.

By 2027, could use more water than 4-6X the annual usage of Denmark, just to cool servers and make chips.

And yes, often it’s drinking-quality .

So, is there a wild possibility that becomes the Terminator & holds us captive for their need of fresh water?

👉 Water is already adding to the AI .

And, are rolling for that. Check them out in the comments.

I attended a campaign briefing last week, but politely turned it down immediately afterward. Here's why 👇

This was a 15-year-old tech brand, ready to launch a new product, with a budget in hand. Sounds promising, right?

But here’s why I declined:
🚫 The brief asked for everything—brand positioning, market research, GTM, Strategy, Content, KOL, paid ads—within TWO DAY.
🚫 No clear goals. No product clarity. Just a made-up brief (yes, with ChatGPT) filled with wrong assumptions.
🚫 No NDA, but expected a full strategy deck for their internal meeting.

In short, the team lacked basic marketing understanding, rushed everything to impress top management, not by preparedness, and expected deep consulting work with no protection or structure, with an unrealistic timeline.

These situations are avoidable, with one simple thing:
A proper campaign brief. 🗂️

I shared mine with them anyway, because I’d rather help them get better than just say no.

Want a copy of that brief format? Drop a comment, I’ll DM it to you 💬

Dear Founders, ChatGPT and a prompt don't replace your CMO. ⚠️

I've recently heard CEOs prefer hiring executors who rely on AI-generated tools instead of marketing leaders.

ChatGPT or any GenAI tools can create impressive-sounding plans, but that's not real strategy.

You hire a CMO to:
✨ Understand buyer emotions + local context.
✨ Balance short-term demands and long-term branding.
✨ Navigate real-time market shifts.
✨ Execute the abstract vision.
✨ Say "no" to bad ideas, even yours.
✨ Protect your brand under pressure.

ChatGPT doesn't know your customers, market nuances, or internal culture.
Your CMO does.

Use AI as a tool 🤖, but trust your marketers to lead. 🧠

Prompting ⌨️ isn't a strategy. 🎯

Coming from a marketer who values AI, but knows when human leadership matters. 💪

I generated four customer personas for a kids' smartwatch brand in Bangladesh. 👇

Build a webpage with the customer personas and market insights you want to share with your client during a marketing pitch - using Claude AI in a minute.

Refine them as you like. The outcome is fairly descriptive, with a satisfactory design output. That too, with the bare minimum of information or effort, given my prompts & answers.

It was a one-go. Didn't try to refine my prompts or after-result stuff.

The CEO of Unimart , Gazi Mahfuzur Rahman, is hiring an Activation Manager through LinkedIn. Since no application link, email, or HR contact is provided, here's how you can effectively apply to a C-Suite personality like him for the intended job or your next role.

❌ DON'T:
▶️ Comment just "I'm interested." This approach won't attract genuine attention from a senior hiring manager or him.

▶️ Ask for his email publicly. He likely won't reply as his inbox isn't intended for candidate sorting.

▶️ Tag someone without ensuring their genuine interest. If tagged, candidates should reply courteously in the comment before reaching out.

▶️ Directly add the CEO without context. He might decline your request, limiting your future contact opportunities.

▶️ Send blank or generic LinkedIn InMails ("Please review my CV"). This indicates poor communication and won't stand out.

✅ DO:
▶️ Get referred by someone the CEO knows or a senior professional in Marketing/Activation. A strong referral mentioning your fit will effectively highlight your profile.

▶️ Use LinkedIn InMail (up to 5 available for general users). Leverage this powerful feature with a clear subject, a personalized cover letter, and a relevant resume.

▶️ If using Connect, always add a note (within 300 characters). Politely request an application link, HR email, or mention your referrer's name.

▶️ If tagged, thank the person publicly and mention the referral when contacting the CEO privately.

▶️ Be respectful and strategic. It's important than your actual resume.

If you're up for more career productivity tips or looking for new marketing vacancies, follow my profile 🖕 or send me a connection request 💬 with a little intro to grab these opportunities.
