Verse A – Naturalist Life
Nature gives the air we breathe,
Sun and earth, the ground beneath.
Justice stands for what is right,
Morality keeps the path in sight.
Logic guides the way we see,
Philosophy sets the spirit free.
Knowledge grows through work each day,
Hard hands build a better way.
Verse B – Religious Life with Superstition
Faith and morals, some the same,
But not all walk the truth’s plain lane.
Superstitions cloud the mind,
Holding back the steps we find.
They can harm both self and land,
Break the growth by unseen hand.
Life slows down, the light turns dim,
When reason’s voice is kept within.
