*সংবিধানের সপ্তম ভাগে নির্বাচনসংক্রান্ত অনুচ্ছেদে (১২১) বলা আছে, ‘সংসদ নির্বাচনের জন্য প্রত্যেক আঞ্চলিক নির্বাচনী এলাকার একটি করে ভোটার তালিকা থাকবে এবং ধর্ম, জাত, বর্ণ ও নারী-পুরুষভেদে ভোটারদের বিন্যস্ত করে কোনো বিশেষ ভোটার তালিকা প্রণয়ন করা যাবে না।’

*বয়স্ক ভোটার এবং অন্তঃসত্ত্বাদের ভোটের লাইনে আগে দেওয়ার একটি নির্দেশনা থাকে। এর বাইরে বিশেষ কোনো বয়সের ভোটারদের জন্য পৃথক বুথ তৈরির বাস্তবতা নেই।

"আচরণবিধিতে খুব বেশি নতুনত্ব নেই, যদিও কিছু পরিবেশবান্ধব পদক্ষেপের ওপর বাড়তি গুরুত্ব নজরে পড়ে। নির্বাচনী প্রচারে সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া প্ল্যাটফর্ম ব্যবহারের প্রসঙ্গ শেষ মুহূর্তের সংযোজন না হলেও খুব সুচিন্তিত নয়।
সবচেয়ে বিস্ময়ের কথা, এই আচরণবিধিতে এআই প্রযুক্তি ব্যবহারের বিষয়ে স্পষ্ট করে কোনো নির্দেশনা দেওয়া হয়নি। কিংবা কমিশনের তরফ থেকে কী ধরনের ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হচ্ছে, তার কোনো ধারণা মেলে না।"

"গুম কমিশন বলছে, পট-পরিবর্তনের পরও সিদ্ধান্ত গ্রহণের দায়িত্বে থাকা জ্যেষ্ঠ কর্মকর্তারা গোয়েন্দা সংস্থার শীর্ষ কর্মকর্তাদের জবাবদিহি নিয়ে আপত্তি জানিয়েছেন। গোয়েন্দা সংস্থার জ্যেষ্ঠ কর্মকর্তাদের মতে, সংস্থার প্রধানদের জবাবদিহির আওতায় আনা নজিরবিহীন এবং দেশের নিরাপত্তার জন্য ক্ষতিকর।

বাহিনীগুলো এতসব গুরুতর অপরাধ করেও দীর্ঘ মেয়াদি নীরবতা বজায় রেখেছে। কারণ শেখ হাসিনার সময়ে নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীগুলো এগুলোকে অপরাধ হিসেবে বিবেচনা করত না। বরং, প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক সংস্কৃতির অংশ হিসেবে গুম, খুন, ক্রসফায়ার স্বাভাবিক হয়ে উঠেছিল। গুম, খুনের পর নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীর কর্মকর্তাদের পুরস্কারস্বরূপ নগদ অর্থ দেওয়া হতো। নির্দেশমতো অর্ডার পালন না করলে সৈনিক কিংবা তুলনামূলক তরুণ অফিসারদের মেরে ফেলা কিংবা কঠোর শাস্তির আশঙ্কা থাকত বলে কমিশনে দেওয়া জবানবন্দিতে জানিয়েছেন সেই সময়ে র‌্যাবে প্রেষণে যাওয়া কর্মরতদের কয়েকজন।"

GoFundMe has come under fire for freezing or refunding large amounts of donations meant for humanitarian aid in Gaza. Activists and aid organizers accuse the platform of applying discriminatory standards—blocking Palestinian-related fundraisers while allowing those benefiting Israeli military causes to continue. According to affected groups, more than $1 million was raised by The Sameer Project alone, with over $250,000 refunded in September.

Other campaigns faced similar outcomes. A U.S.-based fundraiser for Gaza’s Sulala animal shelter saw $50,000 refunded, while brothers in Gaza lost access to $5,000 raised for their displaced family. Despite repeated requests, GoFundMe has not disclosed how much money in total it has blocked or returned, but admits that over $300 million was raised on its platform for both Israeli and Palestinian causes since October 2023.
