A new PHEV 7-seater MPV is here!

The Wuling Cortez Darion EX, a name that’s quite a mouthful, backed by a cabin full of practicality.

Arriving as a PHEV, it seems well-timed given the current fuel situation. The combination of electric driving and petrol support could be a sensible direction for buyers navigating rising fuel concerns.

That said, the competition won’t be easy.

Models like the MG HS variants and the Chery Tiggo lineup have already established a strong presence. At the same time, traditional ICE vehicles are starting to feel less appealing, especially when fuel efficiency becomes a deciding factor.

There’s also the ongoing issue with EURO 6-spec engines, which don’t always pair well with locally available fuel, often resulting in less-than-ideal mileage figures.

On paper, the Darion brings something different to the table.

Now, it all comes down to how it performs on our roads.
