একবার এক ছোট্ট গ্রামে বাবা ও ছেলের মধ্যে দারুণ এক সম্পর্ক ছিল। বাবা ছিলেন একজন সৎ কৃষক, আর ছেলে ছিল কৌতূহলী এবং শিখতে আগ্রহী। বাবা ছেলেকে সব সময় জীবনের মূল্যবান পাঠ শেখানোর চেষ্টা করতেন।

একদিন বাবা তার ছেলেকে একটি পুরোনো বাক্স এনে দিলেন এবং বললেন, "বেটা, এটাকে যত্ন করে রাখ। এতে তোমার জীবনের জন্য বড় শিক্ষা লুকিয়ে আছে।" ছেলে খুব আগ্রহ নিয়ে বাক্স খুলে দেখল সেখানে একটি নষ্ট পুরোনো ঘড়ি।
