PEARL JAM guitarist MIKE MCCREADY shares a HEARTFELT tribute to OZZY OSBOURNE.

“Sad to hear Ozzy died today,” McCready wrote on Pearl Jam’s official Instagram account. “When I was in high school I discovered Sabbath. 'War Pigs' was terrifying and mesmerizing at the same time. It was Ozzy’s voice that took me away to a dark universe. A great escape.

“Then when The ‘Blizzard of Ozz’ record came out I was instantly a fan. Randy Rhoads was an influence on me to play lead guitar. Luckily I got to play on the song ‘Immortal’ on the last record. Thanks for the music, Ozzy it makes our journey in life better.”

Happy 57th birthday to Phil Anselmo, an American singer, songwriter and musician, best known for his work as the vocalist of the band Pantera.

Anselmo had a broad vocal style, ranging from clean-melodic singing to harsh and aggressive, and sometimes extremely harsh with a growl parts added on it. He is also the frontman of supergroups, Down, Superjoint, Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals, Scour ​and Arson Anthem, including numerous other musical projects.

When a group has been going for decades, you are bound to lose a member here or there to some form of trial, tribulation or tragedy. If your band started out in the 1960s, then it is almost a guarantee. The same can certainly be said for Pink Floyd and their enigmatic founder, Syd Barrett. ❤️

On this day in 1975, the pioneering musician dropped in on one of Pink Floyd’s recording sessions for the acclaimed 'Wish You Were Here' out of the blue, and, in truth, he looked a shadow of his former self. It would be the final time Pink Floyd would see their old bandmate and former ringleader.

Foo Fighters hiring NEW DRUMMER from metal band Sepultura?

Former Sepultura drummer Jean Dolabella left Brazilian singer Pitty's band, which had been playing in Brazil for 2 years, in November 2024 and moved to Los Angeles. He didn't join any band, he just opened a studio in the city. Today, he posted this photo of a broken drumstick, a clear reference to Slipknot's Instagram post that "confirmed" Eloy Casagrande's entry into the band last year. (Jean was the one who recommended Eloy to Sepultura in 2011 when he left the band.)

It's worth remembering that Jean Dolabella has already recorded two albums at Studio 606, with the band he had founded, Ego Kill Talent, which opened for Foo Fighters in Brazil years ago during the C&G tour.

My opinion: he's just making fun of the rumors that have been emerging since he moved to Los Angeles. But yes, there's a chance it could be something. Keep an eye on it. The two albums he recorded with Sepultura are very heavy, "A-lex" (2009) and "Kairos" (2011).
