Brutal Truth About Business Analytics in Emerging Markets like Bangladesh!
After working in Production Planning, Supply Chain, and Operations for over a decade, I realised something shocking:
1. Most companies are NOT using data for decisions…
2. They are just relying on experience and assumptions.
No structured data analysis.
No real insights.
No predictive thinking.
And then we ask:
1. Why poor decisions?
2. Why missed opportunities?
3. Why slow growth?
Here’s the truth:
👉 “You can’t improve what you don’t analyze.”
The turning point?
Business Analytics.
Once analytics is implemented:
a. Patterns become visible
b. Decisions become smarter
c. Risks become measurable
d. Performance becomes predictable
In real business scenarios, I’ve seen this clearly:
Two companies. Same market.
One uses data → scales strategically
One ignores data → struggles blindly
My Take:
In emerging markets like Bangladesh,
👉 Data-driven decision-making is NOT optional
👉 It’s a competitive advantage
If you’re in business, operations, or leadership:
Ask yourself one question today:
“Am I analyzing data… or just guessing?”
Because that answer defines your future.
