🇷🇺🇨🇳 Putin and Xi will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, together with the leaders of Iran, India, and Pakistan

They're scheduled to arrive on Monday, and Putin is due to hold a one-on-one meeting with Iran's president Pezeshkian on the sidelines

Russia, China, and Pakistan have already rejected Trump's sanctions on Iran, which is no doubt going to feature high up on the agenda of the summit

The Secretary of the country's Supreme National Security Council says America needs to actually *do something* before Iran even thinks about keeping the Strait of Hormuz open. No actions, no passage.

Qatar's playing middleman (again), which means backchannels are alive.

But Iran's holding roughly a 5th of global oil flow hostage to U.S. compliance. That's not a small chip at the table.

Pezeshkian, Ghalibaf and Araghchi have each said in recent days that Tehran must address poverty, inflation near 80 percent and a public that has run out of patience.

Nobody in that system speaks that way against the Guard.

The likelier read is the IRGC letting the civilians carry a message it wants delivered, buying time and testing whether a strait arrangement can be had.

Watch the other move alongside it.

The Guard has been keeping the clerical establishment out of intelligence appointments, arguing theology isn't a qualification.

Something is being rearranged in Tehran while everyone in Washington watches the sanctions list.

🇮🇱 Israel just started kicking the UN's main relief agency out of Jerusalem.

Netanyahu says the evacuation of the UNRWA compound in Kafr Aqab kicked off today, backed by a directive and a new law built to force the agency out.

"The State of Israel will not allow an organization whose employees were complicit in terrorism and the October 7 massacre to operate within its territory, and will act against it by all means at its disposal."

UNRWA's been the main lifeline for Palestinian refugees for decades. Now Israel's shutting the door on it inside its own borders.
