Greetings from the Bangladesh-German International Film Festival

The “1st Bangladesh-German International Film Festival" will be held in Dhaka on 29 and 30 April 2026. The theme of the festival is — “Bridging Nations Through Cinema.”

Preparatory work in this regard has already begun. The festival will feature the following sections:
➤ Bangladesh Panorama
➤ German Cinema
➤ Women & Young Filmmakers
➤ Short & Independent Films
➤ Children’s Films
➤ International Cinema

Screenings will take place at:

আলুর ন্যূনতম দাম কেজিতে ২২ টাকা নির্ধারণ করল সরকার

কৃষকের স্বার্থ রক্ষায় আলুর ন্যূনতম দাম কেজিপ্রতি ২২ টাকা নির্ধারণ করেছে সরকার। পাশাপাশি ৫০ হাজার টন আলু সরকারি উদ্যোগে ক্রয় করে হিমাগারে সংরক্ষণ এবং আগামী অক্টোবর-নভেম্বর মাসে বাজারে ছাড়া হবে।

বুধবার (২৭ আগস্ট) কৃষি মন্ত্রণালয় থেকে পাঠানো এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়।

বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে বলা হয়, সাম্প্রতিক সময়ে বাজারে আলুর দাম উৎপাদন খরচের চেয়ে কম থাকায় কৃষকরা ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হচ্ছেন। এ অবস্থায় প্রধান উপদেষ্টার নির্দেশে কৃষি সচিবের নেতৃত্বে একটি চার সদস্যের পর্যালোচনা কমিটি গঠন করা হয়। কমিটিতে বাণিজ্য মন্ত্রণালয়, খাদ্য মন্ত্রণালয় ও অর্থ বিভাগের সচিবরা সদস্য হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেন।

কমিটির সুপারিশ অনুযায়ী সরকার আলুর ন্যূনতম দাম নির্ধারণ ও বাজার নিয়ন্ত্রণে এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়। একইসঙ্গে আগামী মৌসুমে আলু চাষিদের প্রণোদনা দেওয়ার কথাও জানানো হয়েছে।

কৃষি মন্ত্রণালয়ের সিনিয়র তথ্য কর্মকর্তা মোহাম্মদ জাকির হোসেন স্বাক্ষরিত বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে আরও বলা হয়, সংশ্লিষ্ট মন্ত্রণালয়সমূহ দ্রুত কার্যক্রম শুরু করবে।

It is a vital initiative of the PinkAsia Agriculture Foundation, working towards the development and empowerment of rural farming communities across the country by providing timely and relevant information.

২১ শে ফেব্রুয়ারী আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস।
একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারি বাঙালি জাতির জীবনে এক গৌরবের দিন। ১৯৫২ সালের এই দিনে বাঙালি জাতি বুকের তাজা রক্ত দিয়ে শাসকের রক্তচক্ষু উপেক্ষা করে মাতৃভাষা রক্ষার জন্য রাজপথে নেমেছিল।

পৃথিবীর ইতিহাসে একমাত্র বাঙালিরাই সেই গৌরবময় জাতি,যারা ভাষার প্রাণ দিয়েছিল।

বিশ্বের বিভিন্ন দেশের সমর্থনে ১৯৯৯ সালের ১৭ই নভেম্বর ইউনেস্কোর অধিবেশনে সর্বসম্মতিক্রমে একুশে ফেব্রুয়ারিকে 'আন্তর্জাতিক মাতৃভাষা দিবস' হিসেবে পালনের সর্বসম্মত প্রস্তাব গৃহীত হয়।

একুশের এই স্বীকৃতি বিশ্বব্যাপী বাঙালি জাতি ও বাংলা ভাষারপক্ষে বাঙ্গালীদের ত্যাগেরই স্বীকৃতি। জাতি হিসেবে এ মর্যাদা যেমন আমাদের জন্য অত্যন্ত গৌরবের, তেমনি এ মর্যাদা রক্ষা করা আমাদের জাতীয় কর্তব্য। আসুন আমরা সর্বদা সবজায়গায় বাংলা ভাষার মর্যাদা রক্ষা করি। আজকের এই দিনে ইনসানিয়াত পরিবারের এর পক্ষ থেকে সকল ভাষা শহীদদের প্রতি জানাই বিনম্র শ্রদ্ধা।
