ইদানীং ব্যাংকে ইউটিলিটি বিল দিতে গেলে, প্রায়ই সময় ২টাকা , ৫ টাকা ফেরত পেতে গেলে বিড়ম্বনার শিকার হতে হয়। এটা যেন দুর্নীতিবাজ কিছু ব্যাংক কর্মকর্তার অভ্যাসে পরিণত হয়েছে। ফেরতযোগ্য ৫ টাকা , ২ টাকা চাইলেই বলে ২ টাকা, ৫টাকা ভাংতি নাই। যেখানে বাংলাদেশ ব্যাংকের সার্কুলার অনুযায়ী, ২ বা ৫ টাকার কয়েনের একটা নূন্যতম সংখ্যক স্টকে রাখতে হয় সেখানে কিছু ব্যাংক কর্মকর্তার এরূপ আচরণ মোটেই গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়।

মিল্টন জ্যাকবের লালা দিয়ে আঙুল ভেজানোর অভ্যাস জানতেন। তাই তিনি ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে পাওনা টাকার নোটে পটাশিয়াম সায়ানাইড জাতীয় বিষ লাগিয়ে দেন। জ্যাকব টাকা গোনার সময় অভ্যাসবশত আঙুলে লালা লাগিয়ে সেই বিষ মুখে নিয়ে ফেলেন এবং সায়ানাইড বিষক্রিয়ায় মারা যান।
অর্থাৎ, আসল হত্যার অস্ত্র ছিল বন্দুক বা ছুরি নয়—জ্যাকবের নিজের বদ অভ্যাস।
