🌿 Today we kicked off the first day of our Cultural Canvas workshop! 🌿 Lappeenranta’s dream year of Culture!
I have always been passionate about arts , craft and planning events through culture . I’m happy to represent the south Asian culture in Finland where people come from diverse cultures.
Today marked the beginning of an immersive journey into the art and tradition of henna. As we gather together, I'm thrilled to guide participants through the rich history, techniques, and intricate designs that make henna such a cherished art form.
Throughout the workshop, we explored the cultural significance of henna across different traditions, delved into the science behind the dye, and, of course, rolled up our sleeves and dive into hands-on practice. Gave the attendees about the insights and details about henna how it really works.
We have more segments to come . Each day will be something exciting and new to learn .
Also I tried to wear something traditional which represents my root and culture ! 🙂
