Heavy To Very Heavy rainfall warning!!

Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur in the three northern divisions of Bangladesh and North East India during the next 3 days due to the strong activity of monsoon induced by westerly-southerly combination.

In Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions, there is an average of 150-200 mm of rain likely between 20-23 June.

Among these, Sylhet, Sunamganj, Netrakona, Mymensingh, Sherpur, Gaibandha, Kurigram, Lalmonirhat, Rangpur, Nilphamari and Panchagarh districts may receive about 200-300 mm of rain during that period.

Also, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Kishoreganj and Cox's Bazar districts. It can rain up to about 200-300mm here.

There is a possibility of temporary waterlogging in the low lying areas of the said districts. And heavy to very heavy rains in the upstream Indian subcontinent may cause sudden rise in the water levels of northern rivers.

So be extra careful in the mentioned areas.

Note: There may also be an increase in scattered rainfall activity over other parts of the country. which will be updated from time to time.
