অল্প কদিন আমরা বাঁচি। তবু এই সমযে় কত সুখ-দুঃখ আমাদের আচ্ছন্ন করে রাখে। কত গ্লানি, কত আনন্দ আমাদের চারপাশে নেচে বেড়ায়। কত শুন্যতা বুকের ভেতরে হা হা করে।

"এক পর্যটক দেখা করতে গেলো এক সুফি দরবেশের সঙ্গে। সুফির বসবাসের সাধারণ ঘরখানা দেখে লোকটি আশ্চর্য হয়ে গেলো। ঘরে আসবাব বলতে কেবল ছিল একটি মাদুর এবং একটি কেরোসিনের বাতি। এই দেখে পর্যটক জানতে চাইলেন, ‘সুফি, আপনার আসবাবপত্র কোথায়?’
‘আপনারগুলো কোথায়?’, সুফি উল্টো জিজ্ঞেস করলেন।
পর্যটক: আমার? কিন্তু আমি তো এখানে আগন্তুক।
সুফি: আমিও!"
