একটা সত্যি গল্পঃ
গতকাল পাই পাই হিসাব নিয়ে লেখার পর একজন বন্ধু আমাকে জানালো তার অব্যক্ত বিষাদের কথা।
মেয়েটি ইঞ্জিনিয়ার। সে চাকুরী করতো তখন।তার স্বামীও চাকুরী করতো।তাছাড়া স্বামী বড়লোক বাবার একমাত্র ছেলে ছিলো।
তারা একবার মালয়েশিয়া ট্যুরে যায়।
সেই ট্যুরে তার সব খরচ তাকেই দিতে হয়েছে।
তার স্বামী সবকিছু পাই পাই করে হিসাব রাখছিলো।পুরো ট্যুরে বিমান ভাড়া,হোটেল ভাড়া,খাওয়া,শপিং সবকিছুর পাই পাই হিসাব করে ৫০% তার স্বামী তার থেকে আদায় করে।
কারণ বলছিলো তুমি চাকুরী করো আমি কেন তোমার পেছনে টাকা খরচ করবো।
৫ বছরের এফেয়ার। বারো বছরের সংসার।একটা বাচ্চা।
সবকিছুর পাই পাই হিসাবে মেয়েটি ক্লান্ত হয়ে পড়ে।
সে সংসারে ভালবাসা খুঁজে পায়নি।মায়া অনুভব করেনি।
কোন সম্মান পায়নি।
সবকিছুতেই তার স্বামীর টাকার হিসাব।
টাকা যখন মূখ্য হয়ে উঠেছিলো,ভালবাসা তখন জানালা দিয়ে পালিয়েছিলো।
এক সময় তিক্ততা, অত্যাচার চরম আকার ধারণ করে।
অবশেষে সেই মেয়েটি ১ বছরের বাচ্চাকে নিয়ে তার স্বামীকে ডিভোর্স দেয়।
তার ভাষায় আমি কারো স্ত্রী ছিলাম না।আমি কোন সংসার করছিলাম না।আমি যৌথ মালিকানাধীন দোকান চালাচ্ছিলাম।
অবশেষে মুক্তি নিয়ে মেয়েটি সম্মানের সাথে জীবন এগিয়ে নিচ্ছে।
পাই পাই হিসেবে জীবন চলে না।।ভালবাসা ও মায়া অকৃত্রিম হতে হয়। উজাড় করা ভালবাসা সংসারে ঢেলে দিতে হয়।তবেই সুখ উপচে পড়ে সংসারে।

"একি বউমা! তুমি এই রমজান মাসে সকাল থেকে এত খাবার তৈরি করছ কেন?"

"মা আমি সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি, আজ দরিদ্র মানুষদের খাবার খাওয়াব।"

"এত টাকা পেলে কোথায়? নিশ্চয়ই আমার ছেলের পকেট থেকে চুরি করেছ।"

"আমার আপনার মত স্বামীর পকেট থেকে টাকা সরানোর স্বভাব নেই মা।"

"মুখ সামলে কথা বলো বউমা।"

"আপনি মুখ সামলালেই তো আমিও চুপ থাকি।"

"বলি তোমার বাপের বাড়ি থেকে তো কিছু দিল না এবার। ছেলের বিয়ে দিয়েছি এমন এক পরিবারে যেখান থেকে রমজাম উপলক্ষে কিছুই আসে না।"

শাশুড়ি মায়ের কথায় আমি মুচকি হেসে উত্তর দিলাম,

"মা এসব আমার বাবার বাড়ি থেকেই আনা জিনিসপত্র।"

শাশুড়ি মা ভারি অবাক হলেন আমার কথায়। চোখ দুটো বড়ো বড়ো করে বললেন,

"সেকি! কখন দিয়ে গেল এসব? আমি তো দেখিনি।"

"আমি এবার বলেছিলাম আমাকে টাকা পাঠাতে। প্রতি বছর তো এত এত জিনিস নিয়ে আসে। সবকিছুই আপনি আপনার মেয়ের শ্বশুরবাড়িতে পাঠিয়ে দেন। তাই এবার ভাবলাম, দরিদ্র মানুষদের যখন খাওয়াতেই হয় তখন আসল দরিদ্রদের খাওয়াই। এতে আমারো সওয়াব হবে। আর সবার দোয়া পাব।"

আমার কথায় শাশুড়ি মা তেলেবেগুনে জ্বলে উঠে বললেন,

"এসব বলে তুমি আমাকে অপমান করছ বউমা।"

"একদমই না মা। আপনার যদি মেয়ের শ্বশুরবাড়িতে রমজানের জিনিসপত্র পাঠাতে ইচ্ছা করে তাহলে নিজের টাকায় পাঠান। আমার বাবার বাড়ি থেকে আসা জিনিস মেয়ের শ্বশুরবাড়িতে কেন পাঠাবেন? আপনি তো খুব বড়োলোক। আর এটুকু খরচ করার সামর্থ্য নেই? এদিকে উঠতে, বসতে আমাকে বলেন আমার বাড়ির লোক ছোটলোক!"

আমার এমন কথা শুনে শাশুড়ি মা আর কোনো উত্তর দিতে পারলেন না। হনহন করে নিজের ঘরে চলে গেলেন। আমি সেদিকে পাত্তা না দিয়ে নিজের কাজ করতে লাগলাম। রান্নাঘরে একা হাতে সব সামলাচ্ছি আর ভাবছি,

"টাকা থাকা সত্বেও যারা ছোটলোক তাদের খাওয়ানোর থেকে রাস্তায় থাকা অভুক্তদের খাওয়ানো ঢের ভালো।"

বিকালের দিকে বের হলাম রাস্তায়। দুই হাতে দুইটা খাবারের ব্যাগ নিয়ে হাঁটছি আর চারপাশে চোখ বুলাচ্ছি। কিছুটা সামনে যেতেই একজন বৃদ্ধকে রাস্তায় বসে থাকতে দেখে সেদিকে এগিয়ে গেলাম। তার হাতে খাবারের একটা প্যাকেট ধরিয়ে দিতেই তিনি বিশ্বজয়ী হাসি দিয়ে দোয়া করলেন আমাকে। আমি হাসিমুখে সামনের দিকে অগ্রসর হলাম। একে একে প্রায় চল্লিশ জনের হাতে খাবারের প্যাকেট ধরিয়ে আমি বাড়ির দিকে হাঁটা দিলাম।

ইফতারির কিছুক্ষণ আগে বাড়িতে ঢুকতেই শুনতে পেলাম আমার শাশুড়ি আমার স্বামীকে বলছে,

"শোন তানভির তোর বউ আমাকে আজ অনেক আজেবাজে কথা বলেছে।"

"তা কেন বলেছি সেটাও বলুন মা।"

আমাকে হয়তো এই সময় আশা করেননি তিনি। খানিকটা চমকে গিয়েই বললেন,

"তোমার পাড়া বেড়ানো শেষ?"

"আমি যে পাড়া বেড়াতে যাইনি সেটা আপনিও খুব ভালো করে জানেন মা। আপনার ছেলে বাড়িতে আসতেই নালিশ করা শুরু করে দিলেন।"

"দেখ তানভির তোর বউ আমার সাথে কেমন ব্যবহার করে। সকালে আমাকে যা নয় তাই বলে গালাগালি করেছে।"

আমি অবাক হওয়ার ভান করে বললাম,

"ছিঃ ছিঃ মা আপনি এই রমজান মাসেও মিথ্যা কথা বলেন। আপনার রোজা তো হালকা হয়ে গেল মা।"

আমার কথা শুনে শাশুড়ি মা থতমত খেয়ে গেলেন। আমার স্বামী এই অবস্থা দেখে পরিস্থিতি সামলানোর জন্য বলল,

"মা আমি জানি অজান্তা কি করতে গিয়েছিল। ওও তো ভালো কাজই করেছে। সারা বছর কত মানুষ অনাহারে থাকে। এই রমজান মাসে যদি তাদের এক বেলা খাওয়ানো দায়িত্ব আমরা নিই তাহলে ক্ষতি কোথায়? এতে আল্লাহ খুশি হবেন। তিনি সন্তুষ্ট হবেন আমাদের উপর। অজান্তা তো খারাপ কাজ করেনি। তাহলে তুমি এত রাগ করছ কেন? প্লিজ মা তুমি ওর উপর রাগ করে থেকো না।"

তানভিরের কথায় আমার শাশুড়ি মা আমার দিকে তাকিয়ে বললেন,

"ওও তো সারাক্ষণ আমার সাথে তর্ক করে। তোর বউকে কিছু বলবি না?"

আমি হেসে শাশুড়ি মায়ের কাছে এগিয়ে গিয়ে বললাম,

"ওর আমাকে কিছু বলতে হবে না। আমি নিজেই আমার ব্যবহারের জন্য মাফ চাচ্ছি। আসলে মা, আপনি তো আমার নরম কথায় পাত্তা দেন না। তাই মাঝেমধ্যে এমন করতে হয়।"

এর মধ্যেই মাগরিবের আযানের আওয়াজ পেলাম আমরা সবাই। আমি সবাইকে খাবার টেবিলে বসিয়ে পানি মুখে দিয়ে বললাম,

"আমি কিন্তু নিজ হাতে অনেক কষ্ট করে সব রান্না করেছি। কেউ যদি না খায় তাহলে অনেক কষ্ট পাব। আমাকে কী কেউ ভালোবাসে না?"

আমি যে কথাটা শাশুড়ি মা'কে উদ্দেশ্য করে বলেছি সেটা তিনি বুঝতে পেরে একটা বেগুনি নিয়ে খেতে শুরু করলেন। আমিও হাসিমুখে তার দিকে তাকিয়ে মনে মনে বলছি,

"পরিবর্তনটা হোক ভালোর জন্য।"

মা কে জিজ্ঞাসা করেছিলাম মা আমার স্বাধীনতা কোথায়?
উত্তরে বললেন, এখন কিসের স্বাধীনতা। বিয়ের পর স্বামীকে নিয়ে যা ইচ্ছে তাই করবে, স্বাধীনতা খুঁজে নেবে!

একদিন ভোরে স্বামীকে জিজ্ঞেস করলাম- আচ্ছা মেয়েদের কি স্বাধীনতা নেই? সখ আহ্লাদ নেই?

উত্তর একটাই বিয়ের আগে যা করেছো করেছো এখন করা যাবে না। লোকে কি বলবে? ছেলে-মেয়েদের মানুষের মতো মানুষ করো, পরে যা ইচ্ছে করতে পারবে!!

আজ আমার ছেলের বয়স কুড়িতে পা দিলো। বললাম আচ্ছা বাছা মায়েদের স্বাধীনতা কোথায়? বলতে পারিস??
ছেলে আমার মস্ত বড় গম্ভীর মুখে উত্তর দিলো হেসে-
বললো,
এখন কি আর ওই বয়স আছে নাকি যা ইচ্ছে করবে?অনেক কিছুই করেছো জীবনে এবার আমাদের মতো করে চলার চেষ্টা করো।

জানেন আপনি?
মেয়ে মানুষের স্বাধীনতা হয় না,ঘর হয় না,তারা মানিয়ে নিতে নিতে আর স্বার্থের সবটুকু দিতে দিতে মৃত্যুবরণ করে!!!............একজন মায়ের মুখে শোনা গল্প.....

এন্টিবায়োটিক আবিষ্কার করেছিলেন স্যার আলেকজান্ডার ফ্লেমিং। ফ্লেমিং স্যার বলেছিলেন, "এই এন্টিবায়োটিকের কারণে আজ কোটি কোটি লোক বেঁচে যাবে। অনেক বছর পর এগুলো আর কাজ করবেনা। তুচ্ছ কারণে কোটি কোটি লোক মারা যাবে আবার।''

এন্টিবায়োটিক খাওয়ার কিছু নিয়ম আছে। একটা নির্দিষ্ট ডোজে, একটা নির্দিষ্ট মেয়াদ পর্যন্ত এন্টিবায়োটিক খেতে হয়। না খেলে যেটা হতে পারে সেটাকে বলা হয় "এন্টিবায়োটিক রেজিসটেন্স''।
:
ধরি, আমার দেহে এক লক্ষ ব্যাকটেরিয়া আছে। এগুলোকে মারার জন্য আমার ১০টা এম্পিসিলিন খাওয়া দরকার। এম্পিসিলিন এক প্রকার এন্টিবায়োটিক। খেলাম আমি ৭ টা। ব্যাকটেরিয়া মরলো ৭০ হাজার এবং আমি সুস্থ হয়ে গেলাম। ৩০ হাজার ব্যাকটেরিয়া কিন্তু রয়েই গেলো। এগুলো শরীরে ঘাপটি মেরে বসে জটিল এক কান্ড করলো নিজেরা নিজেরা।
:
তারা ভাবলো, যেহেতু এম্পিসিলিন দিয়ে আমাদের ৭০ হাজার ভাইকে হত্যা করা হয়েছে। অতএব আমাদেরকে এম্পিসিলিন প্রুফ জ্যাকেট পরতে হবে এবার। প্ল্যান করে থেমে থাকেনা এরা, বরং সত্যি সত্যি জ্যাকেট তৈরি করে ফেলে এই ব্যাকটেরিয়া গুলো। এরা বাচ্চা-কাচ্চাও পয়দা করে একই সময়ে। বাচ্চাদেরকেও সেই জ্যাকেট পরিয়ে দেয়।
এর ফলে যেটা হয়, পরের বার এম্পিসিলিন নামক এন্টিবায়োটিকটা আর কাজ করেনা।
:
সবচেয়ে ভয়ংকর বিষয় হচ্ছে, জ্যাকেট পরা ব্যাকটেরিয়া গুলো কেবল ঐ ব্যাক্তির শরীরেই বসে থাকেনা। তিনি হাঁচি দেন, কাশি দেন, ব্যাকটেরিয়া গুলো ছড়িয়ে পড়ে পুরো এলাকায়। এক সময় পুরো এলাকায়ই আর ঐ এন্টিবায়োটিক কাজ করেনা। যারা খুব নিয়ম করে ওষুধ খান তারাও বিপদে পড়ে যান সবার সাথে।
:
আমরা খুব ভয়ংকর একটা সময়ের দিকে এগিয়ে যাচ্ছি দ্রুত। ব্যাকটেরিয়া আর তাদের বিভিন্ন 'জ্যাকেট'এর তুলনায় এন্টিবায়োটিকের সংখ্যা খুব বেশি না। অনেক এন্টিবায়োটিক এখন আর কাজ করেনা, বাকিগুলোর ক্ষমতাও কমে আসছে। আমাদের বড় বড় হসপিটাল থাকবে, সেখানে এফসিপিএস, এমডি, পিএইচডি করা ডাক্তাররা থাকবেন কিন্তু কারোরই কিছু করার থাকবেনা। সামান্য সর্দীতেই রোগী মরে সাফ হয়ে যাবে।
:
উন্নত বিশ্বের চিকিৎসা ব্যবস্থা আলাদা। তারা নিয়ম মেনে ডাক্তারের পরামর্শ মতো ওষুধ খায়। বিপদে আছি আমরা। 'মেডিসিনের বাইবেল' নামে পরিচিত ডেভিডসের বইয়েও আমাদের এই উপমহাদেশের উল্লেখ আছে আলাদা করে। অনেক ট্রিটমেন্টে বলা হয়েছে,
"This organism is registrant against this Drugs in Indian subcontinent''

টিভি পত্রিকায় নানান বিষয়ে মানুষকে সচেতন করা হয়। বাথরুম করে হাত ধুতে হবে, কাশি হলে ডাক্তার দেখাতে হবে, নিরাপদ পানি খেতে হবে ইত্যাদি ইত্যাদি। কিন্তু এন্টিবায়োটিক নিয়ে কোনো কিছু আজও চোখে পড়েনি। অথচ এটা অন্যগুলোর চেয়েও জরুরী। এন্টিবায়োটিক কাজ না করলে এত সচেতনতা দিয়েও আর লাভ হবেনা।
আগুন নিয়ে খেলছে ফার্মেসিওয়ালারা

রোগী ফার্মেসীতে গিয়ে একটু জ্বরের কথা বললেই ফার্মেসীতে বসে থাকা সেই লোকটি দিয়ে দিচ্ছে Ezithromycin or,cefixime or cefuroxime or levofloxacin নামক কিছু নামকরা দামী এন্টিবায়োটিক, কিন্তুু কতো দিন খেতে হবে সেটা না জানিয়ে সুন্দর করে বলে দেয় এই ওষধটি ১ ডোজ খাবেন সব রোগ ভালো হয়ে যাবে আর এই ভাবেই আস্তে আস্তে Resistance হচ্ছে সব এন্টিবায়োটিক।
:
চিকিৎসা ব্যবস্থার সাথে যারা জড়িত তাদেরকে এখনই ব্যাপারটা নিয়ে ভাবা উচিত। সবাইকে এন্টিবায়োটিকের সঠিক ব্যবহার বিষয়ে সচেতনতা বাড়াতে হবে। না হলে আমাদের ভবিষ্যত অন্ধকার।
