✅ Definition of Hot Lead
👉 A hot lead is defined as a prospective client who has expressed genuine intent in a good or service and is likely to buy it almost immediately. Generally, these leads can be found at the tail end of the buying funnel as they’ve usually exceeded any high touchpoint such as requesting to see the product or service, inquiring about the pricing, or engaging with your sales staff actively. Hot leads tend to be actively looking for a solution to their problem and are more than likely to be in a paying customer state shortly.
What makes hot leads different from cold leads is the speed in which hot leads are ready to purchase and the fact that they are already interested. They have been pre-qualified in terms of requirement, available funds, and compatibility with your solution. A sales team’s focus goes towards these leads since they need minimal nurturing and are almost on the verge of making an agreement. Great deal of prompt follow up and bespoke touch is important to ensure the hot leads get closed within a short time.
