🔗 Types of LinkedIn Connections
Type Meaning What You Can See
1st-degree People you are directly connected to (you both accepted a connection request). Full profile, contact info (if shared), direct messaging.
2nd-degree People connected to your 1st-degree connections. Limited profile, can send a Connect request or InMail.
3rd-degree People connected to your 2nd-degree connections. Basic profile, sometimes only a “Connect” button.
Followers People following your posts but not connected. They see your public updates.
Group Members People in the same LinkedIn group as you. You can message them if group messaging is enabled.
