আগে শব্দের দাম ছিলো। ১১ টাকার কার্ড scratch করে রিচার্জ করলে ১০০ টা sms পাওয়া যেতো।

প্রতিটা sms এ শব্দ সংখ্যার limitation ও ছিলো। কথা বলতে বলতে ফুরিয়ে গেলেও অনলাইনে recharge করার সুযোগ হতনা। তাই প্রতিটা শব্দ খুব ভাবনা চিন্তা করে লিখতে হত। তখন একটা 's' লেখার জন্য keypad টাকে বার চারেক press করতে হত। তবু কেও বিরক্ত হতনা। SMS বড় হয়ে গেলে তাকে কেটে কুটে ছোট করে পাঠাতে হত। তখন green tick নিয়ে ঝামেলা হতনা। অনলাইন না অফলাইন দেখার সুযোগও ছিলো না। ছিলো প্রতিটা sms এর পর দুই তিন মিনিটের অপেক্ষা। রাতের good night আর সকালের good morning বলার জন্য আলাদা করে sms বাঁচিয়ে রাখা।

তখন emoji ছিলো না। আবেগ গুলোকে অনুভবে বুঝে নিতে হত। তখন শব্দের দাম ছিলো, আবেগের দাম ছিলো, অপেক্ষার দাম ছিলো, efforts এর দাম ছিলো।।

বর্তমান সময় তার উল্টো 😫🤐
