মেরিটাইম ইউনিভার্সিটির প্রতিটি কোণায় লুকিয়ে আছে হাজারো গল্প, যা প্রতিটা মেরিটাইমিয়ানের জীবনের শ্রেষ্ঠ স্মৃতি হয়ে থাকবে। ক্লাসরুমে লেকচার, ল্যাবক্লাস, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের বিভিন্ন অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণ, ফুটবল/ক্রিকেট খেলায় অংশগ্রহণ, ফিল্ড ট্রিপ বা ট্যুরের কোনো অভিজ্ঞতা কিংবা হলের কোনো স্মৃতি.... এই সব কিছু নিয়ে মেরিটাইম কথন “১ হাজার ফলোয়ার” হওয়ার উপলক্ষে প্রথম বারের মত আয়োজিত হচ্ছে “স্মৃতির পাতায় মেরিটাইম – ছবি ও গল্পে বাংলাদেশ মেরিটাইম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়।”

📣প্রতিযোগিতার নিয়মাবলি:

✅ প্রতিযোগীকে বাংলাদেশ মেরিটাইম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রাক্তন ও বর্তমান শিক্ষার্থী হতে হবে এবং প্রতিযোগীর - নাম, ডিপার্টমেন্ট, ব্যাচ এবং স্টুডেন্ট আইডি অবশ্যই উল্লেখ করতে হবে।
✅ প্রতিযোগী সর্বোচ্চ ৩টি ছবি নিয়ে গল্প জমা দিতে পারবেন।
✅ প্রতিটি ছবির সাথে একটি শিরোনাম ও ৩০০ শব্দের মধ্যে সংক্ষেপে সেটার পটভূমি লিখতে হবে।
✅ ছবি অবশ্যই নিজস্ব তোলা হতে হবে এবং বাংলাদেশ মেরিটাইম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় সম্পর্কিত হতে হবে।
✅ ছবির মাধ্যমে ব্যক্তিগত, ধর্মীয় বা জাতিগত অনুভূতিতে আঘাত করা যাবে না।
✅ সেলফি, নিম্নমানের (লো রেজোলিউশন) বা ওয়াটারমার্কযুক্ত ছবি গ্রহণযোগ্য নয়।
✅ ছবি অবশ্যই JPEG, JPG বা PNG ফরম্যাটে হতে হবে।

STORY TIME

Season 1, Episode 3 – “Rank Up or Rage Quit?”

Every player has that one match that almost breaks them.

The first win was fire.
But now it was time to step into the real battlefield: Competitive Mode.

I hesitated before clicking "Unlock Competitive."
No more casual matches.
No more warmups.
This was ranked — where every move counts, and every mistake costs you.

I played my placement matches with full focus.
No music.
No distractions.
Just me, my hero, and the will to climb.

The first few games went okay. Wins and losses traded back and forth. I felt decent — not great — but good enough to believe I belonged.
And then came The Match.

Map: Dorado.
My team? A support who refused to heal, a Genji who typed more than he dashed, and a tank who YOLO’d into the enemy spawn every time.
I tried to carry.
I tried to coach.
I even begged them to group up.

Nothing worked.

We got steamrolled.
And at the end, someone typed:

> “Trash team. Uninstall.”

I stared at the screen.
Frustrated.
Exhausted.
Questioning myself.

Is this even worth it?

My friends saw I was online and started messaging:
“Ranked’s not for you.”
“Play arcade, dude.”
“Stick to quick play.”

That hit harder than the loss.

I hovered over the “Exit Game” button…
But I didn’t click it.

Instead, I queued again.

Next game: Ilios.
Same role. Same hero.
Different mindset.

I didn’t just play to win. I played like I had something to prove.
Every flank counted. Every ultimate timed perfectly.
I shot-called.
I protected my healers.
I turned 1v3s into double kills.

Final round. Overtime again.
Lucio booped our tank into the well.
It was just me and a low HP Ana.
Enemy Tracer blinked toward her —
I pre-aimed, tracked her dash, and clicked.

Eliminated.

Victory.

That match didn’t just get me a win.
It placed me.
Gold 4.

Not amazing.
Not terrible.
But above where anyone thought I’d be.

And for me, that was everything.

They tried to break me.
They tried to tilt me.
But I didn’t rage quit — I ranked up.

Season 1, Episode 2 – First Win, First Blood

The first win hits different when everyone expects you to lose.

The next few days were war.

Not against the enemy team — but against myself.

Every time I queued up, I could feel it. The pressure. The judgment. That little voice whispering, “You’re not good enough.” Every match was an uphill battle — full of missed shots, mechanical mistakes, and teammates that either flamed or left halfway through.

But I didn’t quit.

I stopped chasing wins. I started chasing improvement. Each match was a test. A lesson. One moment at a time.

One of those nights, deep into the queue grind, I was placed on a map I had grown to hate: King’s Row.
I sighed.
Another loss, maybe.
Or maybe not.

I locked in Soldier: 76. My comfort pick. The one I had labbed out for hours.

The game began — and something was different.

My shots started connecting. I was predicting enemy movement, peeling for my supports, flanking at the right time. I wasn’t reacting anymore — I was leading. Every call I made felt right. Every fight was mine to take.

And then it happened.

Final round. Overtime.
The enemy Reinhardt charged our backline. I blinked. Ult ready.

I sprinted high ground.
“I’ve got you in my sights.”

Click. Click. Boom.
The kill feed lit up.
3... 4... 5 eliminations.

Team kill.

Victory.

For the first time, that screen flashed golden for me — not them.

I won.
I really, finally, won.

My hands were shaking. My heart was racing.
I wasn’t just playing better — I was better.

And the best part?

The scoreboard.
Top eliminations. Most damage. Zero deaths.
And at the bottom — a whisper in the chat from the enemy DPS:

> “Damn, nice 76.”

I leaned back, headphones still warm from the heat of battle, and smiled.
That was my first win.
My first blood.
And I bled for it.

This wasn’t luck. It was work.

One win didn’t make me a god — but it proved I belonged here.

Season 1, Episode 1 – The Beginning: Downloading Overwatch 2

It all started on a random evening. The kind where your fingers hover over your keyboard but your heart isn’t really in any game you own. Nothing felt exciting anymore. I had played everything... or so I thought.

While aimlessly scrolling through YouTube, a thumbnail caught my eye: “Top 10 Insane Overwatch 2 Plays – Grandmaster Edition.”

I clicked.

The video exploded with chaotic beauty — blinking teleporters, perfectly timed ultimates, teamwork that felt choreographed, and mechanical skill that made it all look effortless. I didn’t know what half the abilities were, but it was hypnotic.

“Alright,” I muttered. “Let’s give it a shot.”

Downloading Overwatch 2.

That loading bar? It felt like the start of something new — a line I was about to cross. My PC hummed. My hands itched for something new. And deep down, I felt a quiet fire light up — the spark of a challenge.

When the game finally booted up, I was greeted by heroes I’d never seen before. So many roles, so many styles. I picked Soldier: 76. He felt familiar. A guy with a gun and a sprint — what could go wrong?

Turns out… everything.

My first match was a disaster. I missed shots. I couldn’t track enemies. I barely knew how to use my abilities. I was just feeding the enemy team over and over again. Meanwhile, my friends — the ones who were already “pro” — were laughing in voice chat, bragging about their killstreaks while I respawned every 10 seconds.

They joked.
They teased.
They didn’t know they were writing the first chapter of my revenge arc.

I stayed up that night.

Alone.

Replay after replay. Guide after guide. I wasn't just playing anymore — I was studying. I watched how pros flicked, how they positioned themselves, when they backed off, how they used every inch of cover. I turned off music. I turned off distractions.

I turned on the grind.

Over the next few days, something shifted. My aim got tighter. My ultimates became more clutch. My comms sharper. I started getting endorsements. A teammate messaged me: “Nice carry, bro.”

I smiled.
