What is the difference between “URL” and “anchor text”?

A URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is a group of characters that indicates where on the internet to find a certain resource, like a website or a particular page within a website. Web browsers commonly employ URLs to reach the requested resource.

The text that is visible and clickable within a hyperlink is known as anchor text. You are directed to the URL that the anchor text is linked to when you click on it.
