To: All Punong Barangay and residents
In line with my commitment to ensuring the safety and preparedness of our community, I inform all Punong Barangay and the public that the Municipality of Aparri is now under “BLUE ALERT STATUS”.
This is in response to the Weather Advisory No. 3 of PAGASA issued at 5 p.m. today regarding the Low Pressure Area and Southwest Monsoon.
All residents are encouraged to remain vigilant, closely monitor advisories from PAGASA and the Office of the Mayor, secure their homes, prepare Go Bags containing essential supplies (such as food, water, medicines, clothes, documents, hygiene kits, etc.) and prepare for any possible changes in the weather or hazard conditions.
Residents of Barangay BISAGU, LINAO, SANJA,TALLUNGAN, and TORAN are likewise advised to check floodings in their area and voluntary evacuate, should the need arise.
All MDRRMO personnel and relevant municipal departments are already placed on standby.
