Itanagar, August 4, 2025:
The Arunachal Pradesh Youth Organization (APYO) has announced a bike rally from Nirjuli to Tennis Court, Itanagar, as a mark of protest against the alleged use of sub-standard TMT bars and cement in the construction of the NH-415 Flyover Package-B.

APYO leaders expressed serious concerns over compromised quality in the ongoing infrastructure work, warning that such practices could endanger public safety and shorten the lifespan of the flyover.

The rally is expected to witness participation from youth activists and concerned citizens, who are demanding strict quality checks and immediate government intervention. APYO has also urged authorities to initiate an independent audit of the construction materials and ensure adherence to national standards.

The Dollungmukh Area Youth Association (DAYA) has asked people in the Dollungmukh area to continue with their daily activities and not support the proposed bandh being planned by AKDSU. DAYA stated that the bandh decision was made without proper consultation and may not serve the interests of Kamle district. They also cited a Supreme Court ruling that declares such bandhs illegal. DAYA added it will support AKDSU actions only when they are in the publicโ€™s best interest.

AKDSU President Rejects Expulsion, Alleges ANSU Order Is Unconstitutional.

Sh. Tam Romi Paul, President of the All Kamle District Studentsโ€™ Union (AKDSU), has responded to his expulsion by the All Nyishi Studentsโ€™ Union (ANSU), questioning the procedure and authority behind the order.

In a detailed letter, he stated that no inquiry or show cause notice was issued and argued that ANSUโ€™s constitution does not permit expulsion of district unit presidents. He also defended AKDSUโ€™s handling of ARDKASU matters as internal and in line with union rules.

Tam Romi Paul has requested withdrawal of the expulsion order and indicated possible legal action if unresolved. ANSU has not yet responded.
