ঐতিহাসিক ১৬ মে — ফারাক্কা লং মার্চ দিবস

আজ সেই ঐতিহাসিক দিন, ১৬ মে। এই দিনে বাংলাদেশের স্বাধিকারের অগ্রসেনানী, মজলুম জননেতা মাওলানা আবদুল হামিদ খান ভাসানি ১৯৭৬ সালে ভারতীয় পানি আগ্রাসনের বিরুদ্ধে "মার্চ ফর ফারাক্কা" করেছিলেন। তাঁর সেই সাহসী পদক্ষেপ আজো আমাদের প্রেরণা দেয়।
ছবিটি রাজশাহী শহরের টি-বাঁধ এলাকা থেকে তোলা, যেখানে পদ্মার করুণ চেহারা দেখলে বোঝা যায়—ফারাক্কা বাঁধ কীভাবে আমাদের নদ-নদী শুকিয়ে দিয়ে রাজশাহীসহ দেশের বিভিন্ন অঞ্চলকে মরুভূমির পথে ঠেলে দিয়েছে বা দিচ্ছে।
ভাসানীর সেই কণ্ঠ আজো প্রাসঙ্গিক—
"ভালো কথা বললে কাজ হয় না, কাজ করতে হয়।"
✊ ফারাক্কার বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদ আজো থামেনি। আসুন, আমরা নদী ও প্রকৃতির অধিকার রক্ষায় সোচ্চার হই
