Chānghor is a floating, flexible healing space that a deep reconnection with nature.
Inspired by the memory of childhood forts — our first playful, self-made sanctuaries(with cushions) — the architecture invites users to shape their own experience. Movable façades and breathing roofs dissolve boundaries between inside and out, letting each visitor choose light, shade, openness, or shelter as they need.
Healing here is not static but seasonal: in monsoon, the space floats as a retreat reached by boat; in the dry season, the ground opens for community gathering and shared rituals. This adaptability reflects the ever-changing rhythm of rivers in Bangladesh, where water levels rise and recede, vegetation grows, and the horizon shifts. The message is simple yet profound: like rivers, life flows through change, and healing lies in embracing resilience. Thus, the project becomes more than architecture — it is a living sanctuary where the individual breathes, the community reconnects, and nature teaches us to let go, to flow, and to heal.

We recently participated in the international design competition A Healing Space by Claymire. Although we didn’t make it into the top 30, this journey was a meaningful one to rethink architecture not just as buildings, but as living, healing experiences.
