Ayah of the day ✨
Tafseer: That is—have you not seen the might and power of Allah, His mercy towards His slaves, and the evidence of His oneness and the truthfulness of His Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)—namely, the way in which He dealt with the army of the elephant, who plotted against His Sacred House and intended to destroy it?
They had prepared themselves for that purpose, bringing with them an elephant to demolish it. They came with a massive army from Ethiopia and Yemen—an army the Arabs could not withstand.
When they reached the vicinity of Makkah, having faced no resistance from the Arabs—and with the people of Makkah fleeing the city out of fear for their lives—Allah sent against them flocks of birds, arriving in scattered groups, each carrying stones of baked clay.
