Bangladesh is a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-cultural country. The right to self-identify as indigenous peoples of more than 50 indigenous peoples in this country have not been constitutionally recognized. The Fifteenth Amendment to the Constitution terms the indigenous people as the Bengali nation for political purposes, including various disrespectful and insulting label. The ruling class
wants to disrespect and oppress the views and rights of the indigenous people.
