ছবিতে যিনি একা বসে আছেন, তিনি একজন স্বামী, তাঁর প্রিয়তম স্ত্রী ঠিক সামনের গাড়িতে শায়িত, শেষ যাত্রার প্রস্তুতিতে। জানাজা হওয়ার কথা ছিল রাত ৯টায়। কিন্তু ভদ্রলোক চাচ্ছিলেন না অন্ধকার রাতে বিদায় দিতে। কারো কাছে স্পষ্ট করে বলতেও পারছিলেন না, “ওকে আর একটু থাকতে দাও… সামনে থাকুক, আমি দেখছি!”

তাঁর ছোট ছেলে বুঝে নিয়েছিল বাবার মন। শেষ পর্যন্ত জানাজা হয় সকালে। কিন্তু রাতের পুরোটা সময়, যখন চারপাশের সবাই চলে গেছে, ভদ্রলোক ছিলেন গাড়ির সামনে একা বসে। স্ত্রীর পাশে, নিঃশব্দ প্রহর গুণে। যেন বলছিলেন, “তুমি একা না, আমি আছি। এখনো আছি।”

এ এক নিঃশব্দ ভালোবাসা, যার সাক্ষী হয়ে রইলো রাত, নীরবতা আর সেই একফালি আলো। মৃত্যু সবকিছুর শেষ নয়, যদি ভালোবাসা এমন হয়।

ভাগ্যবতী ছিলেন সেই স্ত্রী, যিনি এমন একজন জীবনসঙ্গী পেয়েছিলেন, যিনি তাঁকে মৃত্যুর পরেও একা ফেলে যাননি।

আমরা সবাই চাই, এমন একজনকে, যিনি শুধু জীবনে নয়, মৃত্যুর পরেও আমাদের ভালোবাসায় আগলে রাখবেন।
