Biju, boishu and Shangrai are the biggest festival in the hill Track of Bangladesh. This year I had a chance to witness this magnificent festival with my own eyes. I travelled 5 days straight in the different parts of hill track and documented the raw nature of these festivals. I met chakma, marma, tripura community ate their food, joined their rituals and hanged around with them. And I found genuine kindness.
There has been years of political conflict between the Pahari and Bengali settler in the hill track. So it is very natural that they don't like us. But after visiting and spending time among them I realised even though ee have thousands of reason to hate each other but we have millions of reason to love too.
I received love from them unlike anyothers. This video is about sharing culture and love among each other. This video is about the sounds of Mountain that has the power to bring us close, make us united.
This is the "Sound of the Mountains"
Special thanks to Zico Chakma for planning this whole journey. With you the journey was smooth as butter. Also thanks to Sakib for accompanying with me throughout the whole journey.
