AbulHasnat: Faridpur school student Alauddin Matubbar alias Antar, the fugitive accused Azizul Sheikh (30), who was sentenced to life in the murder case, was arrested by RAB-10 after six years. Antar's mother, Jannati Begum, complained to Nagarkanda police station after many searches, but the police failed to rescue Antar even after conducting raids in various areas. 21 days after the incident, the police recovered Antar's body from a canal in that area. Antar's mother Jannati Begum filed a murder case in Nagarkanda police station. In the case, on October 15, 2018, Deputy Inspector (SI) of Nagarkanda police station Nikhil Chandra Adhikari submitted the charge sheet of the case to the court. After long testimony and hearing, after almost 6 years, the court announced the verdict of the case on March 27 this year. In this case, the court sentenced three people to death and life imprisonment to three people. RAB-10 Faridpur camp captain Lt. Commander KM Shaikh Akhtar said in a press briefing that Azizul Sheikh, who was sentenced to life after the verdict in the school student Alauddin Matubbar alias Antar murder case, was absconding. On Friday (May 17), a raiding party of RAB conducted a raid from Bhangar toll plaza area of ​​Faridpur district based on intelligence and arrested accused Azizul Sheikh who was sentenced to life imprisonment and a fine of Tk 120,000 in the murder case.
