The plethora of social networking sites that was sprouting up learned me quickly enough that is was hard to find one streamlined platform to present the creativity that sought it's way like a river through a landscape. "The packaging is likely to be as important as the content to the end-user",
a wisdom I learned when doing my graphic/photography/print studies in Antwerp. Without any education in
coding languages I tried to re-invent the wheel, only to learn the pitfalls and to acquire basic knowledge on writing code. It wasn't much later when the attention focused to some of the available open source content management systems and truly began to shift his focus on the goal of a stable, sleek way of providing all sorts of content for whoever that was interested in the same topics and media. Along the way I've met a lot of people who are doing fascinating things on the web with all sorts of content, media and services, a lot of people frustrated with what was out there for the creative, non-techy crowd too. heretiksambrosia.net was registered and over time a few sites saw the daylight by my hand, providing some projects a home on the web they would otherwise cost them years in resources. When my life partner was about to face the same frustrations as I did late 2006, I asked her if she wanted to be the first collaborator of what had been a one-man collective up until then. She's mostly focusing on photography, a scope I'd like to expand in the future. As some other visual media. An even bigger and more ambitious project is in the making at this point while heretiksambrosia.net itself is undergoing a re-factoring from the ground up. No doubt that the most thrilling and productive output to end-users is still to come, hopefully supporting some people who's work we appreciate, allowing them to focus on their creativity. Heretiks Ambrosia still finds itself at the bleeding yet playful edge where the flow of creativity and persistence meets skill and technology and we feel that it makes for an interesting and valuable experience.
