Heartbreaking news. 💔
A Cameroonian mother living in Maryland tragically lost her life while harvesting ndolé and other vegetables in her own backyard. A tree suddenly fell on her, killing her instantly.
What makes this tragedy even more painful is that she had just returned from Cameroon after spending time with her family back home & left her kids with her family —something many Africans in the diaspora do to stay connected to their roots and loved ones.
Sadly, that visit would be the last time her children would ever see their mother alive.
Today, a family is mourning. Children have lost their mother. Friends have lost a loved one. A community has lost one of its own.
Life is truly unpredictable. One moment we are making plans for tomorrow, and the next, everything changes.
