due to a shipping and transit strike the bridges and lock in brugge were closed all day, so today's trip to gent was postponed until tomorrow. on the plus side, the extra day gave me time to work on ginnie - everything red in this photo got a coat of paint today!

park culture is pretty great all over europe, and toulouse certainly doesn't disappoint in that regard! also, if you look closely you'll see that the playscape at place saint-pierre is a barge!

a favorite activity of mine is eating at WILDLY out of place establishments. as soon as i saw it i knew that i had to eat at BIG TACOS, the self-described king of all tacos, right here in the thriving heart of taco country, castelsarrasin, france!

impressions: 1) not at all a taco 2) far tastier trash fast food than it has any right to be 3) i am continually amazed and disappointed at what the french believe is "tex-mex" 🙃🙃🙃

swipe thru to see a couple of before-and-afters of the fo### den cabin refresh! water damaged wall repaired, wallpaper, bedding, a nice wedge pillow for the daybed nest, all new lighting!

i think the fo### den is a whole lot more gezellig now!

ginnie and i are finally gettin to some of the fun stuff! lookit what i did to the lobby today!

one of the things im really enjoying about remodeling ginnie is getting creative and clever to maximize every lil space aboard. i relocated the ill-thought-out coathooks to under the new vanity, and now that they hang the width of the lobby instead of the depth, actually INCREASED what little space was being used!
