The bridge through which the Canadians liberated Bruges 80y ago in September 1944 is called the 🇨🇦 Canada Bridge.
At the head of the bridge are two sculptures of Canadian bison 🦬
Next to the bridge is a new neighbourhood that was created in the 1980’s, called ‘Canadians Court’ and parts of it are named ‘Hamilton Park’, ‘H.W. Foster Park’ and ‘Revill Park’

Hamilton Park is named after the Canadian Regiment Royal Hamilton Light Infantry.
Major General H.W. Foster was a senior Canadian Army officer and was granted honorary citizenship of the city of Bruges.
Harvey Stewart Revill, is a fallen Canadian soldier.
