Summer hols are over, let's bring on the new releases!

First up today: Don Kapot & Renette Désir's first single Poto Potopow, from the upcoming album.
After Renette was forced to flee her homeland, Haiti, in 2024 - her plane was unable to land. And for good reason: it had been riddled with gunfire by gangs just before landing. “Poto potopow” is an onomatopoeic term for the sound of bullets, a constant presence in Port-au-Prince for several years now. « All day long, potopow / All night long, potopow / Alarm sounds, gunfire, potopow / In whose hands do I leave my ancestors? »

The very first taste of the highly anticipated debut album by Brussels-based OLA TUNJI - without a doubt one of the most exciting new voices in Belgium’s (spiritual) jazz scene - is here.
MARSAXLOKK is the first glimpse of the album, and sounds dreamy, vibrant and full of colour.

With a delicate build-up, saxophone and piano intertwine beautifully, carried by swirling drums and a deep, resonant bass.

This summer, Haroun Iqbal and Helena Casella bring Heartbreak Hotel to Boomtown Festival at Ha Concerts.
