Just dropped: Çiya Icaro - the second single from Meral Polat’s upcoming album MEYDAN.

This is a cross-continental sonic ritual with Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti, where voices rise from the mountains of Anatolia to the Andes.
Sung in Kurmancî, Zazaki, Turkish, Spanish, and Quechua, the song moves through language like water, rooted in memory, guided by breath.

It’s raw, feminine, and deeply ancestral.
Drums echo the earth, synths ripple the sky.
This is a song of resistance and remembrance.

KRIS DEFOORT composed the compulsory piece for the 2025 Queen Elisabeth Competition. Watch Yuki Yoshimi perform Music for the Heart in the finals - a piece that blends structure and improvisation, and challenges pianists to reveal their personality through sound.

Je hebt het misschien al gehoord, maar De Droge Coo - al jarenlang de thuisbasis van KAAP in Oostende - wordt binnenkort onder handen genomen als onderdeel van de renovatie van de Koninklijke Gaanderijen. Daarom nemen wij vanaf 1 september 2025 tijdelijk afscheid van onze vertrouwde stek.
Maar voor we even de deuren achter ons dicht trekken, trakteren we je nog op een spetterend slotfeest!
𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗢𝗻 wordt een zomers afscheidsfeest op de dijk. Verwacht geen nostalgisch gemijmer, maar wél gratis live muziek van onze nieuwe favoriete WERF records artiesten, dj-sets en een flinke dosis KAAP-energie.
