Le label Roots Partner records continue de nous faire voyager sur le continent africain en délivrant le titre 'Korokelou' de Brima Dondon & Melting Band, artiste étant l'un des pionniers du Reggae en Guinée-Conakry, accompagné ici par les cuivres de Mighty Patch, mais aussi par Manjul, qui a également mixé le morceau original et sa magnifique version Dub. Ce titre soulève des questions cruciales sur la gouvernance et l'impact de la CEDEAO sur les gouvernements nationaux en Afrique, à découvrir inna Culture Dub :

"KOROKELOU" by Brima Dondon & The Melting Band !

Hailing from Guinea Conakry, Brima Dondon is one of the pioneers of reggae in his homeland. He gained recognition as a reggae artist through impactful collaborations with Sierra Leone's "Musical Flames" and his involvement in Guinea’s rasta movement, "MOURAG." Since moving to Europe in 2003, he founded Brima Dondon & the Melting Band, a multicultural group that embodies diversity. For this release, they are joined by Mighty Patch on the sax & trombone, and Manjul on the trumpet and percussions, who's also the mix engineer of the nice bonus dub version!

"KOROKELOU" exposes the corrupt rule of African presidents and the influence of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). It critiques the political manipulation used by leaders to cling to power for as long as possible, revealing democracy as little more than a façade. This track raises critical questions about governance and ECOWAS's impact on national governments.
