EBP European Business Press Founded in 1962 as UPEFE, later renamed into European Business Press - EBP and in 2023 rebranded into European Business Media - EBM and relocated to Brussels.

Now with 29 members from 25 countries, EBM connects leading European business media.

EBM organized its annual Publishers Seminar on March 3rd 2025in Paris. The event, which weas hosted by Les Echos, was well appreciated by participating members. They have learned a lot from experience of their colleagues which is the primary aim of EBM events. With 55 participants representing 28 members it was one of the best visited EBM events so far.

On September 10, at the Anual meeting of European Business Press in Ljubljana the EBP members presented the European Manager of the Year 2021 award to the co-founders of BioNTech: Uğur Şahin, Özlem Türeci and Christoph Huber. This year EBP Annual meeting toook place on Zoom platform, in line with Covid-19 standards. The event was organised by our member Business Post from Dublin. Traditionally EBP members presented the European Manager of the Year Award at its meeting. The recipient of the award in 2020 was Simon Coveny, Irish Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade.

In his address, Christian Rainer, EBP President, emphasised that there are outstanding managers also in public sector and they shoud be recognised for their merrits. Simon Coveny was one of main actors in preparing the EU position for Brexit negotiations. Furthermore he managerd to get two rivaling parties in Ireland to form a stable government and he is the most responsible person for Irish seat in the UN Security Council.

In the last part of Zoom Annual Meeting Enda O'Coineen, Lorcan Hanlon Sarah Murphy and Colm O'Reilly from Business Post presented Ireland and its economy which has demonstrated the highest growth in past 25 years of all EU countries.
