Last week, 27 Young Talents from across Europe gathered in Strasbourg!🇪🇺

Over four days, young cinema professionals discovered how the European Parliament works and met with MEPs, filmmakers and film organisations - among others. The programme was filled with creative brainstorming sessions and workshops on social media, culminating in the official announcement of the 2026 LUX Audience Award nominees.

And of course, there was time for shared dinners, new friendships and walks through the beautiful streets of Strasbourg🌟🎞️ We wish the Young Talents best of luck as they return to their home countries, ready to promote European cinema in their local communities!

What an exciting evening – MEPs, filmmakers and young film ambassadors from all over Europe came together to celebrate and discover this year’s five nominees. Can you spot EP President .metsola , First Vice-President and CULT Committee Chair .riehl in the pictures? 😉

➡️From now until April 2026, audiences in all EU member states can attend free screenings and rate the nominated films. “This is what the LUX Audience Award is about: bringing European cinema closer to people wherever they live and giving them a chance to see Europe from a different perspective,” said President Metsola in her speech. She highlighted that cinema offers experiences that stay with us throughout our lives – and we couldn’t agree more.👏
